From his vantage point in munitions Section's sometime sage, Walter, is witness to the many ways in which Michael and Nikita do as much, if not more, to contribute to their remaining apart as do outside forces. Time and again they defeat themselves in their efforts to be together, failing to see a bond which everyone else in Section considers obvious.
