A POEM

Timing on this one is obvious.

What do I do now? What do I do now?
Where will I go? How can I stay?
Morning light springing Morning darkness trapping
from this cloistered, in another endless,
dark decline. endless night.
Why do I still remember? Why can I not forget?

I did delight to find you watching me. I am blinded.
Your image taunts Only dream can see
like a wayward child, your shameless beacon,
a guardian shadow behind my back. night burning brighter than the day.
The dawn is here. A black sun rises.
The night is over. And night begins again.

But how do I go on?
But how do I go on?
                        Alone.
                        Alone.
                        Without you.
                        Without you.
