Silence
Nikita closed the door behind her, wishing to close off the emotions of the last week. The anger, the hurt, the betrayal...the slap. He deserved it. And it felt so good at the time. To return the pain not only physically, but with her words as well. Now the silence echoed the pain between them. Its hollowness and sadness.
Nikita slumped down in the corner, with her face in her hands. Section had succeeded in making her question her feelings for Michael. How could she let them invade her emotions? No, her feelings for Michael were her own, and Section had no right use them. In the process, Section had created a distance between them. But yet she still missed him, longed for him desperately. Just to touch him, feel his breath on her. It didn't make any sense, but then their relationship never had.
Nikita pulled herself back up, trying get out of this funk. Mindlessly, she dropped in some CD's and hit the scramble button in the process. She needed to lose herself in her music.

Heaven holds a sense of wonder
Passion chokes the flower
Heaven holds a sense of wonder A knock echoed into her reverie. Nikita glanced at her monitor to see a pair of green eyes waiting at her door. Opening the door, her surprise betrayed her. The pair just stared into each other's eyes.
In this white wave "Michael, would you like to come in?" Nikita asked awkwardly. "If I'm not disturbing you." Michael replied hesitantly "No, come in."
I can't help this longing As the silence felt thick around them, Michael questioned himself for coming. Surely she was still angry with him and rightfully so. He somehow wanted to take the pain away.
Heaven holds a sense of wonder "I'm sorry...I...I know that doesn't mean much, but I...." Michael stopped, seeing the pain in his love's eyes. He lowered his head and closed his eyes knowing nothing could take back this pain away for either one of them.
In this white wave Nikita couldn't help herself. Despite the lingering pain, she needed to touch him. To reach out and reconnect with him. Share their soul's pain. As her fingertips touched his cheek, they felt soothing and seductive all at once. Their eyes met again, longingly. As he inched forward, his closeness and his warm breath against her skin stirred up the strong feelings that she had pushed down deep inside.
I have seen you His lips found hers and he kissed her delicately. Nikita longed for more, but before she knew it, the kiss was over. Instead he held her tight for a moment and then he lovingly brushed the hair from her eyes. Those sparkling blue eyes, he thought, cherishing the woman he loved. Michael knew Nikita wanted more, for he longed to act on his desire, as well. But they needed a slow healing process...and he knew something Nikita did not. Unfortunately, Section's eyes were watching her again. Nikita watched him leave, knowing the weight of their silence was lifted, but she desired more. Why did he come tonight? She closed her eyes as she wondered if Michael would ever make sense to her. Probably not. Note: The lyrics are from Silence by Delerium, featuring vocals and lyrics by Sarah McLachlan
