"Gravity of Love"

Nikita examined a couple intimately strolling together. Their hands entwined, walking in unison, seeing only each other. Nikita felt as if she knew the pair. Where have I seen them before?

The man and woman stopped and sat on a nearby park bench. His hand stroked her blond hair as their faces neared. Their lips met and their arms reached out to hold each other. Nikita felt strangely drawn to them. She could not tear her eyes from their passionate embrace. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment and exhilaration. She was a voyeur to their intimacy. Why can't I take my eyes from these two?

Nikita watched as the pair turned toward her. The man's green eyes seemed to be calling her. Ni-kit-a She looked at the woman beside him. Nikita was startled to find that she was peering into her own blue eyes. Knowing not what to do, she quickly averted her eyes. When she looked up again, the man was alone. The woman had disappeared. His hand carefully reached inside his coat. Why is he reaching for his gun?

Instead he pulled out a bird-a white dove. Taking the dove in his two hands, he lifted it, sending it into flight. Nikita watched as the bird flew from him majestically. Nikita sighed at its beauty. The dove's wings spread outward, each feather catching the wind, propelling the beast forward. Its momentum pushed it toward a mirror, reflecting the bird's image. Expecting the dove to strike the surface Nikita called out, hoping to warn it off. Instead the dove continued-flying right into the mirror. Through the mirror.

With a start, Nikita woke from her dream-filled slumber. The images and voices vaguely danced in her mind. Daylight, peeking in through her curtains, seemed to obscure the truth she had found. Pulling the covers over her head, she fervently tried to return to her dream in an effort to regain that comfortable feeling-that feeling of security. What did it mean? The dream had seemed so real. So clear. Why can't I see it now?

------------------------------ Latin Chant
"O Fortuna
velut Luna"

Translation
"O Fortune
like the Moon"
------------------------------

Turn around
And smell what you don't see
Close your eyes
And it's so clear

Nikita closed her eyes trying again to grab a hold of the fleeting feeling. She could almost reach it. Yes, I can reach it!

Here's the Mirror
Behind there is a Screen
And with Wings you can get in
Don't think twice...
Before you listen to your heart
Follow the trace of a random star

Seeing the man still before her, Nikita gave him a questioning look. He gently placed his hand over his heart. Then he pointed to the mirror.

What you need
And everything you feel
Is just the question of the day
In the eye of the storm...
You can see the lonely dove!
The experience of survival...
Is the key to the GRAVITY OF LOVE.

Nikita examined the mirror trying to see how the dove passed through.

---------Whispers----------
Woman :
The path of excess leads to
The tower of Wisdom
Man :
The path of excess leads to
The tower of Wisdom
---------Whispers----------

Time to think about it
It's the chance to live your life
And discover what it is...
It's the GRAVITY OF LOVE.

Instead Nikita saw her own reflection staring back at her intently.

Don't just want to be heard
Can you hear the voice
Find the one who will guide you...
To the limits of your choice
But if you are in the eye of the storm
Just think about the lonely dove
The experience of survival
Is the key to the GRAVITY OF LOVE.

Ni-kit-a. Her name slipped from the lips of the green-eyed man as his image joined hers in the mirror.
