I look at you
And see myself-
I must apologize
For what is true,
When wrapped in stealth,
Gets trapped beneath the lies.
You look at me-
Eyes piercing my soul-
You see beyond the lies
Can what you see,
Then, make me whole
When I myself despise.
To live with love in constant fear-
What would our chances be?
My divided soul confirms this view:
