(An Adult Fairytale.)
Michael and Nikita's life-
In Section-is like a fairytale:
It's the story of "The Frog Prince"
'Hollywoodized'-with murder and jail.
Michael, our ensorcelled hero-
In this particular fable-
LIKES to be a frog,
Playing in Section's pond, when he's able.
Operations, the King of Section,
And Madeline-his Queen-
Are mortified their Prince
Genuinely loves to be green.
They tried to break the evil spell
With a Princess named Simone,
But Michael preferred the lily pad
To sitting on a throne.
For years, the sorrowful Kingdom
Of Section deeply despaired-
For a Prince who IS a frog
As a ruler would be impaired.
One day, on the horizon,
There appeared a shining light-
A beautiful blond Princess
Who was dressed up like a knight.
She said, "I've heard your Kingdom
Suffers under a spell-
Let me try to break it."
The King sighed, "Might as well..."
She gave the Frog Prince, Michael,
A kiss on his warty snout-
And he became a Prince for one night;
But, in the morning, hopped back out.
Princess Nikita-that's her name-
Was used to things unorthodox
And she knew she'd find a way
This stubborn Prince to outfox.
Like lightning, an idea
Struck the clever blond-
She turned herself into a frog
And joined Michael in the pond.
So that's how they spend
Alternating days and nights-
Sometimes, as frogs in the pond after dark;
Changing to royalty in the light.
