Ayn walked up the stairs and looked into the glass office that she rarely came into. Operations was at his desk, holding the speaking device as he smiled at Ayn. "Have Michael get that profile on Madeline's desk in the hour." Operations said as Ayn moved further into the office. She glanced outside to the world of Section One below and smiled. There were still some regulars missing, with both Michael and Nikita working out of the house today and Walter who had returned to his store. Ayn smiled and turned around to look at Operations. "I don't care if he claims to be taking care of Nikita, I need the profile done." Operations said and Ayn shook her head. Operations cocked his head to the side, as he knew what Ayn was thinking. Last night they had the fight again. Ayn wants Nikita to be suspended from missions, while Operations felt it was important to keep her on missions in order to maintain some sort of emotional stability. Ayn sighed and looked away. "Millicent and Logan can handle that mission. I don't think Michael and Nikita are needed." Operations said and Ayn raised her eyebrows. That was a rare statement, Operations giving Michael and Nikita a mission that they weren't going to work on. Ayn turned around as Operations sat the device down and smiled at Ayn. He sat on the edge of his desk as Ayn walked over and pressed a kiss to his check. "I thought after last night that it would be a bigger kiss." Operations joked and Ayn bitterly smiled and sat down. "Not when you are sending Michael and Nikita out on another mission." Ayn said and Operations nodded his head and moved towards Ayn. "Let's not discuss them. Let's talk about us." Operations said and Ayn blinked her eyes as Operations touched her shoulders and got down on his knees. "Marry me, Ayn." Operations said as he produced a ring. Ayn blinked her eyes. It was all that she had wished for all those years of hiding Trevor and hiding on that island. It was all that she had wished for from the time that she worked with Madeline and Operations. It was what she felt she could use to become a buffer between Operations and Nikita. "It's so sudden!" Ayn exclaimed and Operations smiled as he lifted the ring to her again. "What is your answer?" Operations playfully asked and Ayn smiled. She knew this could work. She truly felt that saying yes now was not only correct for her, but also correct for Trevor, correct for Anna, and most importantly, correct for Nikita. "YES!" Ayn cried out as she allowed Operations to slip the ring over her fingers. Ayn kissed Operations deeply and then he stood up. "Let's go." Operations said and Ayn looked at him and tilted her head to the side. "Where?" Ayn asked and Operations smiled again. "To the tower. I have someone to perform a ceremony for us." Operations said and Ayn turned around in a circle and then to Operations. She didn't expect it to happen today. She thought this was an engagement, but she saw the seriousness on his face. "If you want me, Ayn." Operations said and Ayn blinked her eyes again as she moved to him and laced her arms into his. "I have always wanted you, Viktor!" Ayn said and the two walked to the elevator quickly in their own joy. ************* Ayn stepped into the little room off of the main Tower room and blinked her eyes. There were hundreds of white and off white outfits for her to chose from. Ayn smiled and moved to the one end and then to the other. Ayn picked up the first one, an off-white pantsuit with a delicate weave into the material and smiled. It was perfect. She easily slipped into the dress and smiled at her image. "Mom?" Trevor asked as he entered and Ayn turned around and smiled. "Trevor! Have you heard?" Ayn asked and Trevor nodded his head and reached out for his mother's hand. "I am to walk you down the aisle to dad." Trevor responded and Ayn smiled. She knew that Trevor was still worried about Operations and did not accept him 100%, but his relationship was 8 times better than the relationship that Operations had with Nikita. Nikita. Ayn sighed and looked to Trevor. "I should tell Nikita." Ayn remarked and Trevor swallowed. "I tried to call her, Mom, but Michael refused to listen to me. He said that some things were just more important that Nikita didn't need to hear about Section One on this day." Trevor reported and Ayn shook her head. Something was going on there that she did not like. Ayn swallowed and looked at Trevor. "I shouldn't leave her like that. You know, Nikita." Ayn said as she started to reach for the phone. Her own son stepped out and took the phone away from her before she could start dialing the numbers. "Mom, remember, she has Michael. Isn't that what Nikita needs?" Trevor asked and Ayn nodded her head. Now her own son was giving her advice. Yet she felt odd walking down the aisle without at least warning Nikita. "Do you know what happened?" Ayn asked and Trevor rolled his eyes. "Mom, we are talking about Michael here. Will anyone ever know?" Trevor asked with seriousness that tied with humor that was so much like his father's. Ayn couldn't believe she was moments away from making her unit a family. Maybe it was untraditional. Maybe it was wrong to have a child first. Maybe it was wrong that Ayn had hid Trevor away from his father all these years. Maybe Ayn was wrong to think that Viktor would ruin Trevor's live. Ayn sighed and smiled. "You look great, Mom." Trevor said and Ayn smiled brightly. She couldn't remember a time her heart felt so correct. She nodded her head and looked down at Trevor. "You've grown up so quickly." Ayn said and Trevor smiled. "Maybe now you and dad can give me the little brother I have been looking for." Trevor said and Ayn's eyes popped open. She never thought of having another child and she never knew that Trevor had asked for that. "Isn't Anna enough? She is your sister." Ayn said and Trevor shook his head. "She is my half-sister. I want a real brother." Trevor said and Ayn blinked. She smiled and knew that Trevor would just have to continue wishing for a real long time. The music started to play outside the door and Trevor reached out for his mother's arm. ************* Ayn walked down the hall into the Tower room to find it filled with white roses and tiger lilies. Ayn smiled as she tried to blink back her tears. "You remembered." Ayn whispered out as she stood next to Viktor. She smiled as he reached out and stroked her cheek softly. "Of course I did." Viktor replied and Ayn dropped her head, trying not to cry in these happy moments. Viktor squeezed Ayn's hand as they turned to the operative who was holding the little book. Operations was thinking of the wedding that he saw from a distance. Michael's and Nikita's. It was so simple, and so sweet. He could only wish to give that to Ayn, but knew he could never recreate the love that Michael had for Nikita and Nikita had for Michael. Operations needed Ayn for the moment, and he had the power to make that happen. "Do you, Ayn, take Oper… ah, Viktor to be your husband….. In sickness and in health, till death do you part?" the operative dressed in the black suit asked. "I do." Ayn whispered out and looked at Viktor. She knew that the ceremony was for her good and for Trevor's own good. If Operations made them married, that there was no need for a ceremony. Ayn smiled as she realized that it would be the first actual wedding to occur inside Section One's headquarters. "Do you… Oper…. Ah, Viktor, take Ayn to be your wife… in sickness and in health… till death do you part?" The operative asked Operations as he looked at his boss. The operative had told Operations he did not feel comfortable in performing the ceremony, but with the good placement of a gun, the operative agreed. He didn't know that in two hours he was going to be cancelled on a mission. "I do." Operations said loudly and firmly. "Place the rings on each other's fingers…" the operative said and Trevor stepped up. He smiled at his mother as he handed the ring for Operations to her. Ayn then turned to Operations to see the huge ring he was sliding onto her finger. It almost looked like a golf ball on her finger. Ayn opened her mouth and looked at Viktor in shock before she slid the ring onto his finger. "And in the power invested by me… I now pronounce you husband and wife." The operative said as he closed the book and Operations leaned into Ayn and kissed her deeply. Ayn smiled and started to walk away from the operative when she saw the little table set for the three of them. Trevor ran over and handed glasses around, even getting some real champagne for himself. "Congratulations, Mom and Dad. Now work on my little brother!" Trevor smiled as he clanged their glasses, gulped down his champagne, and ran out of the room, leaving the newlyweds together and more importantly. ALONE. ************* Ayn walked down the hallway early the next morning with a small bag in her hand. She was leaving shortly to go to the island with Operations. She turned and smiled at every single operative that passed none of them missing the huge ring on her finger. "Sir, but Millie and Logan are stuck! We have to call Michael and Nikita in to get them out!" Birkoff protested out in the background. "I don't care Birkoff. Millicent and Logan can wait. Michael and Nikita's mission goes as planned!" Operations said as he moved back down the hallway. "I will only be a few moments. I have to make sure that Walter stays put while we are gone." Operations said and Ayn smiled. It was always a concern with Walter. He didn't wait for orders anymore and would come back to Section One whenever he wanted too. Ayn looked around and sighed. Operations had told Ayn not to worry about telling Nikita, that he would take care of it. Ayn was sure that Nikita was going to be pissed off when she found out. "What is the bag for?" Madeline questioned as she looked at Ayn. Ayn blinked her eyes, finding it hard that Operations had not told Madeline, his second in command. "For my honeymoon." Ayn said and Madeline stood there and blinked her eyes and moved back down the hallway. "Madeline! Millie and Logan are trapped and Operations told me not to worry!" Birkoff complained and Ayn heard Madeline slam her hand to the desk. "Can they retrieve Millie and Logan soon?" Madeline questioned and Ayn looked around, hoping to leave soon. "Not really. Time frame is off." Birkoff said and Madeline looked up to Ayn and stared at her with hatred. "Then there was nothing to complain about, Birkoff." Madeline said and Birkoff stood up. "But he won't let me inform them!" Birkoff cried out and Madeline sighed, as she knew the reason why Operations did not want to inform them now. He needed to get out on his honeymoon before they find out. Operations moved to Ayn and wrapped his hand around her waist. Ayn turned to find Madeline standing in front of them. "I hear that congratulations are in order. I am happy for you." Madeline said and Operations turned and kissed Ayn softly. "I question your departure on your honeymoon. We have two missions at crisis and a difficult mission for Michael and Nikita." Madeline said and Operations shrug his shoulders. "You can handle it, Madeline." Operations said and Madeline dropped her head and looked back to the newlyweds as they walked down the hallway. "And you are going to leave me to tell Nikita about your wedding?" Madeline questioned and Operations smiled. "You always have a way with Nikita." Operations said and pulled Ayn out before Ayn could protest. Madeline dropped her head to her hands and rubbed her forehead. She couldn't believe it. "Birkoff… I'll be in my office. LEAVE ME ALONE!" Madeline hollered and left, not wanting to think of how Nikita was going to take the news.
