"Mental Telepathy"

Nikita stretched her arms as she lifted her head from the pillow. Slowly, each eye lifted up to look at the sun lit room, until Nikita focused on the person sitting in the corner. Nikita groaned and placed the pillow over her head.

"Did you sleep well?" Madeline questioned as she moved from the chair to sit on the bed. She reached out and touched Nikita. Nikita peered out from underneath the pillow and growled. Madeline smiled as she pulled at the blankets.

"Not really." Nikita easily admitted and Madeline nodded her head as she shifted to help pull Nikita up to a sitting position.

"I told Birkoff that you wouldn't be in today. You need some time." Madeline said and Nikita pressed her lips together and stared at Madeline. She shook her head as she threw her legs over the side of the bed and groaned.

"I'm so big." Nikita said as she dropped her head. She rubbed at the legs and turned away from Madeline. Madeline smiled and stood up.

"So I should get rid of all the mirrors today, right?" Madeline asked in a tenderly, but joking manner. Nikita looked up at Madeline and sarcastically laughed at her. Nikita rolled her eyes and stretched her arms again.

"You know that I am going in today. I have to check on Michael's mission." Nikita said, as she stood up on the carpeted floor, ready to move to the bathroom, as the need suddenly rushed to her.

"No, you aren't. My orders." Madeline said and Nikita lifted an eyebrow as she sighed.

"Fine. But let me go to the bathroom… you should know about the pregnant woman's bladder." Nikita commented and Madeline smiled and stepped out of the way. Nikita padded across the room and down the hallway, with Madeline not far behind. Nikita glanced at the mirror and slammed the door shut loudly.

"Nikita, I am serious. You have things around here that need to be done. Don't you have to buy the crib yet?" Madeline questioned through the door.

"I was to do that with Michael!" Nikita protested and Madeline smiled. She shook her head as she leaned against the bathroom door.

"Nikita, I'll tell you a big secret about men. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CRIBS!" Madeline stated and she heard Nikita's sweet laughter from the other side of the door. Madeline pushed away from the door as the toilet flushed loudly. Madeline watched the door open and Nikita rolled her head around in a huge circle.

"Ok, I will buy a crib today. At least pick it out." Nikita caved in and Madeline smiled as she linked her arm around Nikita's. Slowly the two walked to the stairs and Madeline started down in front of Nikita.

"And when you come back, I will have dinner waiting for you." Madeline said and Nikita stopped walking. Madeline turned and looked at Nikita seriously.

"Nikita, are you ok?" Madeline asked as she looked at Nikita's face. Nikita blinked her eyes and shook her head.

"You cook?" Nikita questioned and Madeline burst out laughing as she held her hand out to Nikita so the young lady would finish coming down the stairs.

"We are going to have to talk about this seriousness. You make me think that something is wrong whenever you get that look on your face." Madeline said and Nikita shrugged her shoulders softly.

"I should be worried. You are going to cook." Nikita said with a large smile and Madeline turned with her own serious face.

"Watch it, young lady, I still can cancel you!" Madeline joked as she lead Nikita into the kitchen to show her that Madeline had been cooking already.

"I can't eat all of this! I will never lose the weight again!" Nikita exclaimed as Madeline pulled out the seat for Nikita. Madeline smiled and gave Nikita a glass of orange juice.

"This is what we call a healthy meal." Madeline stated firmly as Nikita sipped at the juice.

Birkoff looked up from his computer and shook his head as he looked at the gray haired woman pacing in front of him. Birkoff looked to the side and patched into Michael's communications unit.

"Man, I wish you were here! I have to deal with all the loonies as Madeline takes care of your wife!" Birkoff complained and Michael laughed as he flipped through the papers that he was working on.

"Believe me, I'll trade places. It is like 100 degrees below outside!" Michael complained back and Birkoff sighed as the woman began to snap her fingers with each of her steps. Birkoff pulled the unit off of his ears and slammed it down to the computer desk.

"Is there something you need!" Birkoff hollered and the woman turned and smiled.

"My name is Ida, and I need to talk to Madeline." Ida explained and Birkoff shook his head and looked at the computer.

"Sorry, Madeline is out of Section for sometime today. I can give her a message when she comes back." Birkoff said and Ida shook her head and started down the hallway quickly. Birkoff smiled and pulled up the unit to his ear.

"When can we trade?" Birkoff questioned.

*

Madeline opened the door and watched Nikita pull her purse over her shoulder. Madeline smiled as she looked at the list of stores that Nikita was off to visit.

"I would go to Galleghers first. That's were I got Anna's two cribs. They were beautiful." Madeline said and Nikita smiled and stepped out onto the small porch.

"If you like that old fashioned kind of style." Nikita said and Madeline frowned and shook her finger to Nikita jokingly. Nikita smiled and nodded her head.

"I'll go there first! I swear!" Nikita said and Madeline nodded her head and she watched Nikita walk to the small black car. Nikita carefully maneuvered her huge stomach into the seat, but Madeline was sure it was not going to be long before Nikita stopped driving herself. It was just so difficult to get use to a pregnant body, and it would be easier on everyone in Section One if Michael had to take her everywhere.

Madeline sighed and closed the door. She half was sad, as she realized that her own biological clock might have struck its last tick since the scare she had with Walter. Then she was half-happy, because more likely than anything else, she was going to be like a grandmother to Nikita's child.

*

Nikita stepped out of the car and shook her head. She could not believe she had a flat tire, of all days and times. She looked up and down the road and swore lightly. She reached down and stroked her stomach.

"Sorry…Trisha Isabelle… you shouldn't hear words like that." Nikita commented and shook her head as she patted her stomach.

"Joline…." Nikita whispered and she looked down at her stomach and smiled.

"Yeah, Joline can work." Nikita commented as she reached back into the car to pull out her purse so she could at least get Madeline to take her back to the house.

Before her hand could even unzip the purse, Nikita felt the cold steel of a gun pressed against her ear. Nikita swallowed and dropped the purse.

"Come with me, Nikita." The voice said as he pulled at Nikita's arm. Nikita swallowed and went as the body pulled Nikita into a black van and threw her against the hard steel wall of the inside of the van. Nikita curled up and tried to protect herself.

*

Ida was walking towards Ayn's office, looking for someone to listen to her when the pain came through her system. Ida reached out and grasped the wall.

"NO!" Ida screamed and turned back. She would not rest until she got in touch with Madeline.

*

"Birkoff, is everything all right with Nikita?" Michael softly asked and Birkoff looked up stunned at the question. It had appeared out of no where.

"Yes. Madeline has her for the day." Birkoff said and turned back to his work.

Michael got up from the desk in Alaska and switched the communications unit. It was long enough. It was time to get this mission over with.

*

"I need Madeline now!" Ida screamed as she faced Birkoff. Birkoff rolled his eyes as he pulled off the communications unit and stared at the older woman. He pulled her biography up and shook his head.

"You don't know how things are run around here in Section yet." Birkoff commented smartly and Ida looked around and then pushed towards the computer.

"You don't understand. I need to talk to Madeline!" Ida said as she held a finger to her temple. The pain was starting to get unbearable. Birkoff jumped up from his seat defensively and looked at the woman.

"Look. You are new here, and I'm going to explain things. You are a recruit. Madeline isn't going to listen to you until you get an atomic bomb strapped to your chest or something to that extreme. She is doing something important." Birkoff said and Ida blinked and looked at Birkoff. She reached out and grabbed his hand.

Ida closed her eyes as she saw an image come in focus. She focused on the tall brown haired woman. She saw a bar and the clothes. Then she saw the blonde that was almost like Nikita off in the distance. Ida dropped Birkoff's hand and swallowed.

"Do they want to know that you are cheating on Operations'daughter?" Ida whispered out and Birkoff dropped to his chair. Birkoff could not even find the salvia to wet his lips and throat in order to speak. He stared at Ida as she stepped back from the computer and looked at Birkoff.

"I need to speak to Madeline." Ida announces again and Birkoff nodded his head slightly. He looked at Ida as she moved her hand to her temple again.

"No…." Ida muttered out as she saw the gun pointing towards her face. Ida pushed with her other hand on the other temple as her head felt as if it was going to explode. She had never had a vision like this one.

"Ida, are you ok?" Birkoff questioned as he stood back up as Ida hunched over. Ida started to tremble and moan as operatives stopped to look at her.

"Someone get me Medlab." Birkoff said as he circled around the computer desk and reached for Ida. She was cold as ice and he stepped back as she fell backwards.

"Ida!" Birkoff cried out as he reached for her. It was like an epileptic seizure, but not the same, as she held her head tightly.

"You are coming with us. We will take your baby as they took our boss." A man said as he held the gun to the head. Ida tried to focus on the face, but she could tell that Nikita wasn't doing so either, and she could not make the adjustment.

"NO!!!" Ida screamed out in pain as the medical staff rolled around the corner. Elana stopped and looked at Birkoff. When she had been called to Birkoff's station, she was almost sure that it was Nikita they had been called to do something with.

"Birkoff, what is going on? Michael's team has gone off profile!" Operations'voice boomed from the speaker. Birkoff swore loudly as he left Ida with the medical team to return to the computers to find Michael had almost achieved end game in the few minutes that Birkoff had been called to pay attention to Ida.

"Profile needed to be changed due to meeting that Michael blew." Birkoff said as he crossed his fingers. Birkoff waited as there was no response and he turned away as he looked to Ida.

"NO! I need Madeline!" Ida screamed out and Birkoff stood up. He connected with the gray haired woman's eyes and nodded his head.

"I will try, Ida. But she is with Nikita. Nikita is fine." Birkoff said and Ida shook her head in pain as Elana pulled out a syringe.

"She isn't, Birkoff. Nikita is in trouble!" Ida protested and tried to move her arm away from Elana's syringe. Birkoff watched them administer the medicine to Ida and move her to Medlab. Birkoff turned and picked up the phone. Nothing would hurt if he just checked.

*

Nikita bite back her pain as the man yanked her arms back to pull her. Nikita could feel the one pop and struggled against the pain. There was not much that she could do in this situation. If she wasn't pregnant, she could do a lot, but now her legs just didn't move the same way they use too. Plus, she would put her trust in Section One and in Michael.

"Sit down." The man hissed as he let go of Nikita's arms and placed the gun on her forehead. Nikita swallowed and sat down on the wood chair. It was uncomfortable for her condition, but Nikita shifted and found the best position for herself. Then the man motioned another man to tie Nikita down. Nikita swallowed as the men placed heavy chains around her feet and arms.

"My, you look so fragile when you are pregnant." The man said as he touched Nikita's stomach and smiled. Nikita fought back the urge to throw up all over him. It was not a good situation, but Nikita told herself that she could not get emotional. The hand moved away as the baby kicked and Nikita closed her eyes. It was like the baby knew that the man touching was bad.

"Get me our doctor. We must start working on her." The man told the other man and he left quickly. Nikita watched her captor move to a pitcher of water and throw it over her body.

*

"End game achieved. Team will be leaving in the morning. I'm on the next plane in twenty minutes." Michael reported and Birkoff shook his head.

"Operations is pissed, Michael." Birkoff said as he looked to his computers. Michael had intercepted Birkoff before he could call Madeline and tell her of all the excitement around Section One this morning.

"I don't care. Something is wrong." Michael stated and Birkoff shook his head and sighed.

"Something wrong with whom?" Birkoff questioned, not liking the tone that Michael was having.

"With Nikita. I know it. Something is wrong." Michael said worriedly and Birkoff swallowed, wishing that he had made the phone call to Madeline.

"You know, you are the second person today to think that." Birkoff whispered and he turned his head to look at the Medlab computer screens. Nothing had changed with Ida as she slept off the medication.

"What do you mean, Birkoff?" Michael demanded and Birkoff sighed. This was going to continue until Nikita had the baby and he didn't want to be stuck like this for the next several months.

"Some recruit was having a temper tantrum and saying that Nikita was in trouble, yadda, yadda, yadda…" Birkoff said but the other end of the line became very quiet.

"I'll be there immediately. I'm taking a Section plane." Michael reported and flipped off the line. Birkoff rolled his eyes as he looked up at the office. Birkoff stopped and picked up the phone. He was going to call Madeline, and get this entire thing straightened out before Operations screamed at Birkoff for dropping the ball.

*

Nikita watched as the man turned on the air conditioning and Nikita immediately began to shiver.

"Now, if you get sick, you might just lose that baby of yours. Yet, you are far along now… I might be able to save it." The man hissed and Nikita stared straight ahead at his face. She was not going to shiver.

Nikita concentrated on his eyes and waited. She could feel it and she imagined the thermostat in front of her. Slowly, she started to turn the dial up and slowly she warmed her body.

The man watched as Nikita stopped shivering and lifted her head. He did not know what to make of it, but she was powerful.

Nikita felt mental relief as the man turned off the air conditioner and left the room. Nikita leaned her head back, thankful for some hypnotic techniques that she had picked up recently, as Ayn said it would help with her labor.

*

Madeline hummed as she stirred the red sauce happily. She stuck her finger into the sauce and nodded her head with the taste that she got in return. She turned down the heat and placed a lid over the sauce. She moved to the kitchen table and rolled out the dough.

Nikita had challenged her, and now Madeline was making everything from scratch. It was about time that Nikita learned that Madeline loved to make ravioli from scratch. Madeline worked methodically as she separated the dough into the little squares to make the ravioli. Madeline sighed when the phone rang.

"Hello?" Madeline questioned as she lifted up the phone. She already placed a defensive tone on her voice, knowing that if it was Operations she was not sending Nikita anywhere.

"Madeline, is Nikita there?" Birkoff questioned and Madeline sat down in the chair.

"I am sick of this. Nikita went shopping for a crib!" Madeline said firmly as she looked at the sauce and went to turn the heat down a bit more.

"Are you sure she is shopping?" Birkoff questioned and Madeline stopped and slowly turned her body away from the stove. She didn't like this tone.

"I don't like this tone, Birkoff." Madeline replied sharply and she listened to Birkoff takes the sharp inhale of air.

"Hey, I just had a recruit and Michael swearing that something was wrong with Nikita. I was checking in on it before I go tell Operations that Michael dumped the mission and is heading home." Birkoff replied shortly and Madeline smiled softly. It would be like Michael to say something like Nikita was in trouble in order to get out of the mission and back to Section One.

"Look Birkoff, I am sure Nikita is fine." Madeline replied and Birkoff looked over his desk. He had to tell Madeline that the recruit knew something about him. Birkoff swallowed and dropped his head.

"What if I think this is something more, Madeline?" Birkoff questioned and Madeline sighed softly.

"Look Birkoff, I have a list of the stores that Nikita was going to. I know that someone will remember her if she has been in. I will contact her." Madeline said as she placed the phone between her ear and shoulders and headed back to the table. Madeline started continued to make the ravioli and smiled as she listened to Birkoff typing.

"Madeline, should I tell Operations yet?" Birkoff questioned and Madeline laughed.

"Only if you want to spend the next four weeks attached to the computer." Madeline stated and hung up. Madeline looked to her work and sighed. Nikita would have been able to contact Section One if something went wrong and Madeline continued on her food before the dough dried out too much.

*

"Help me… someone…" Nikita cried out in her head as she looked around the room. It was dark, and she hated it. Nikita rolled her head to the side, but quickly snapped it straightforward when the door opened and the man entered again.

"What do you want?" Nikita hissed and the man laughed.

"My name is Hector. I want Dr. Ressler back." The man said and Nikita blinked as the memories of the mission came back. Her and Madeline had gone through emotional torture back then, and Nikita afterwards said she didn't want to be pregnant.

"I don't know where he is." Nikita admitted and the man slapped her. Nikita blinked. He had to know it had no effect on her. She had been through much worse than a slap or two.

"I will get him back. And you won't have a child. It will be mine." Hector said and left the room again.

"HELP!" Nikita cried out softly.

*

"Help…" Ida muttered in her drugged state and the nurses brushed back her gray hair from her face.

*

"HELP!" Nikita's voice woke Michael from his sleep. Michael looked around the airplane and took a long breath. He couldn't wait until he had Nikita back in his arms.

*

Birkoff looked around and sighed as he delved into the files that he knew he should be in. Personnel files were the one kind of file that Operations and Madeline both hated him looking into if he wasn't under orders. Birkoff had guessed that it was the for the best of Section One, but right now, he couldn't get over that bad feeling in his stomach.

Maybe it was because he received a report from Medlab that Ida was no coming out of the medication and she had suffered another seizure. Sure, it could be that Ida was crazy, but Birkoff could not know that until he accessed her files. But when he started to play with them, he found that there was never a psychological profile done on Ida, and Birkoff could not believe that. There were no recruits that never had that done. Birkoff needed to know why Ida was special.

He had only been looking through the Section search engine when something odd popped up associated with Ida's name, Nikita's name. Birkoff stopped and started to pull all the files, screwing the rules that Madeline and Operations had established for him. Birkoff knew he could easily say he was watching out for Nikita and not get into trouble. Plus, there was this haunting fact that Ida knew about Lori.

Birkoff stopped as he saw the mission profile. Ida was the lady that Nikita had pulled out of the psychiatric hospital and Birkoff shook his head and sighed. Nikita was not doing so good during that mission and Birkoff sighed as he flipped his computer around and started to hack into Nikita's personal computer. If Nikita was in danger, she would not mind, and Birkoff was sure that if she wasn't in trouble, that she would never know he was there to start with.

"Dr. Ida was Madeline's teacher. Professor. Mentor. I can't believe that Madeline had to wait until I was pregnant in order to bring Ida out of that hospital. She could be doing so much good for Section One, but she spent years in that hospital helping others. But I will never know her. I have a feeling that Madeline is going to keep us separated." Nikita had written in her personal log of missions.

Birkoff knew the log like that was not suppose to exist because it gave proof to Section One, but all operatives had them, even Michael. Birkoff wiped his forehead as he checked on where Michael's plane was before picking up the phone.

*

Madeline sighed as she pushed the plate of ravioli away from her seat. She pulled the phone up, hoping that Nikita had finally showed up at one of the ten stores Madeline had called.

"Madeline, have you found Nikita?" Birkoff questioned and Madeline rolled her eyes.

"No, but there are a lot of stores Nikita could have gone for a crib." Madeline said and Birkoff slammed his hand on the desk. He knew he was going to have to admit to breaking into the files.

"Madeline, I think Nikita is in trouble. Michael swears she is in trouble… and the recruit.. Ida… your teacher.. Her last words were that Nikita was in trouble before she went into a seizure." Birkoff spit out quickly and Madeline blinked her eyes.

"The recruit was Ida?" Madeline questioned, shocked to her very core. Madeline stood up and shoved the items on the table into the refrigerator and turned off the sauce.

"Yes. And I know about her, she is psychic. Madeline, she knows that Nikita is in trouble." Birkoff said passionately as Madeline grabbed her coat and purse.

"What is her current medical condition?" Madeline questioned and Birkoff swallowed.

"She is unconscious, but she is muttering. It might give us clues." Birkoff said and Madeline nodded her head as she moved to the front door.

"How much of this does Michael know? How much have you told Michael?" Madeline questioned as she slammed the door to Michael's and Nikita's house close.

"Michael just knows Madeline. It is beyond me how he knows, he just does." Birkoff said and Madeline stopped outside of her car door.

"Bring Michael up to speed." Madeline replied before she closed the phone and started off for Section One.

*

Nikita lifted her head as the door opened again. She watched as the man named Hector entered with a man in a lab coat behind him. Nikita shook her head as Hector moved towards her.

"Nikita, tell me where Dr. Ressler is." Hector said and Nikita shook her head. He looked at the doctor and then punched Nikita in the face.

"Please don't make me do this the hard way." Hector said and Nikita smiled and nodded her head.

"All there is in my life is the hard way, Hector. You must not know much more about me other than my name." Nikita spat out and Hector moved close to Nikita and snapped her neck back. He leaned in on her throat and Nikita gasped for air.

"I know your husband is Michael and he is in Alaska. I know that you didn't want to have a child with him when you saw Dr. Ressler." Hector said and Nikita tried to swallow.

"I know that you work for Section One, and that Section One is holding Dr. Ressler as prisoner.

"I don't know Dr. Ressler!" Nikita cried out as Hector released the pressure from Nikita's throat. Nikita shook her head out and Hector moved to the doctor.

"Examine her." Hector said and moved out of the room. Nikita looked at horror as the doctor moved closer to her.

"You can't do this. This is unethical." Nikita cried out and the doctor looked at Nikita and touched her forehead and checks her pulse.

"Calm down, I won't hurt you." The doctor said and Nikita started to struggle. She pulled her arms violently, not carrying if they both were dislocated.

"You can't!" Nikita screamed out and the doctor stared at Nikita as he touched her pants and started to pull. Nikita started to cry.

"I am not going to hurt your child. I just have to examine you." The doctor said and Nikita looked at him and tried to spit on him. The doctor frowned and pulled the pants down.

"NO! NO! NO! NO!" Nikita screamed as she moved from side to side. The doctor waited for Nikita to calm down, but that did not seem to be happening anytime soon.

"What is with you? I have to do this. He has my family!" The doctor said and Nikita looked at the doctor and started to cry.

"Please… not you… anyone.. No men… please…" Nikita cried out and the doctor blinked and started to pull Nikita's pants up. He reached out and stroked her cheek. The doctor pulled into his box and started to pull out an IV bag and established a line.

"Please.. You don't know what I am on.. Don't medicate me." Nikita cried out and the doctor sighed.

"You need liquids." The doctor said and Nikita rolled her head from side to side.

"Don't take my baby… don't take Joline… please…" Nikita said as the doctor looked at her. He pulled out the medicine and pushed it into the IV bag.

"No!" Nikita screamed and he reached for her eyes and closed them. Nikita started to fall into a sleep that she could not fight. Deep inside, she knew that now he was doing the exam that he wanted to do to start with.

*

"NO!!!" Ida screamed as she sat straight up in the bed. She rubbed her hands against her head and looked to the side, to find Madeline and Birkoff standing in the doorway.

"She is in trouble." Ida stated and Madeline entered the room and closed the door.

*

Madeline moved to Ida and reached out with her hands carefully. Ida swallowed as she felt the spikes of pain radiate down her body. Ida started to rock back and forth, and spoke no more words, and Madeline looked at Birkoff and motioned him out of the room.

"Ida, what is it?" Madeline questioned and Ida's tongue slowly wetted her lips from one corner to the other as she leaned her head back. Madeline watched her eyes flutter and Ida struggled with the images she was seeing.

"I have never been connected like this Madeline." Ida said and Madeline nodded her head as she reached out and stroked Ida's gray hair off of her face. Ida dropped her head to her chest and groaned.

"Ida, what has happened to Nikita?" Madeline questioned and Ida swallowed and looked up with tears now rolling down her face.

"Please tell me before Michael comes back. Ida, please." Madeline begged out in a strong voice. Ida reached her hands on the railing and clenched them tightly.

"Someone has her." Ida started out slowly and she swallowed again and released a squealing scream. Madeline turned to the door and shook the doctors away from entering the room again.

"They are using the baby to scare her." Ida said and Madeline's heart began to flutter. Madeline swallowed her own bile that had raised up from her stomach with the words and looked to Ida.

"How?" Madeline questioned, as she needed to know all the details before she could report to anyone of the situation.

"A man…. Drugged… examining her." Ida said and Madeline closed her eyes. All of this was going to be difficult to deal with now, and was going to be one major setback for everyone dealing with Nikita's pregnancy.

"You have to find her, Madeline….. They are going to take her baby." Ida said and Madeline shook her head. She knew Nikita. Nikita would die before they did anything to her baby.

"Ida, her baby is going to be fine, but so far you know everything. Tell me who has her." Madeline stated slowly and Ida started to shake again. She was in miniature seizures and the doctors banged at the door, but Madeline shook them off.

"Ida, listen to my voice. You have the power. Who has Nikita? What do they want?" Madeline questioned and Ida grabbed onto Madeline's hand and her eyes flew open.

"Dr. Ressler." Ida said and Madeline almost stepped back with the words. Ida dropped her hands from her student's wrist and looked at Madeline.

"Why would you have that man? His work is evil." Ida said and Madeline swallowed, as she did not want to get involved with this conversation before they got Nikita back.

"It does not matter now. We can get Nikita back without handing over Dr. Ressler." Madeline said and Ida shook her head.

"Then no more." Ida said and Madeline fumed with anger.

"Don't you care about Nikita! If we give them this man, there would be more danger for Nikita than you would even imagine." Madeline hissed out and Ida leaned back as her legs began to spasm.

"You let him work with her." Ida stated and Madeline nodded her head and looked off to the side.

"And he has worked with me. Who has Nikita?" Madeline questioned; knowing that Ida would probably not have an idea of the location. A name would be a beginning spot.

"Hector. That's all I know." Ida replied and Madeline nodded her head and moved out of the room. She turned and Ida knew that Madeline would be back. Ida knew that Madeline would want more information, but for now, she had enough to start looking for Nikita.

"Birkoff… look up all groups that have used or would want to use Dr. Ressler, and look for the name Hector. He has Nikita." Madeline said as she turned the computer expert. He nodded his head and moved quickly down the hallway.

*

"Is there a reason why she isn't in labor yet?" Hector's voice floated to Nikita's semi-conscious mind. She tries to struggle to open her eyes and the doctor covers them with his hand. Nikita rolled her head to the side and moaned. She felt pain everywhere and she was acutely aware of the way her body has been positioned.

"She may be pregnant, but the baby won't survive now if we deliver it." The doctor replied and Nikita listened to the footsteps of Hector moving closer and closer to her.

"I don't care. If she loses the will to live, she will give us what we want." Hector said and the doctor moved forward.

"Now is not the right time. I am concerned about her. This is cruel, little brother!" the doctor said and again Nikita tried to open her eyes. She could not believe that the doctor was Hector's bigger brother.

"I don't care. I need Dr. Ressler back and she is the way." Hector screamed and Nikita felt a hand caressing her inner thigh. She held back on the scream and then the hand moved away.

"I'll contact Section. I am sure that her husband is willing to deal." Hector said and Nikita almost laughed. If he contacted Section One, it would be the last stupid mistake he did. The second to last one was taking Nikita and threatening her child.

"Fine." The doctor replied and Nikita heard the door opening and then closing. Nikita now opened her eyes and stared at the doctor. He looked into her eyes and looked away.

"I will try to help you, but you must trust me." The doctor said and Nikita shook her head. She felt so exposed again, beyond the feelings she used to have. Nikita cried lightly until the doctor pulled the blanket over her legs.

"I will not let you alone with Hector." The doctor said and Nikita looked at him.

"Why?" Nikita questioned and the doctor moved to her head and looked at her shoulders. Nikita was sure that both were now dislocated.

"Because he is also a doctor, and if he wants to get what he wants, he would do anything." The doctor replied and Nikita swallowed and turned her head. Even if this doctor was trying to save her had her baby; it might not stop Hector. Nikita swallowed and cried lightly as she wished for anything to stop this nightmare.

*

There were slamming of doors and then Michael arrived, his eyes glazed over with a rage. Madeline looked up at him and looked to the medical room that Ida was now asleep in. Michael looked at Ida and then to Madeline.

"Why didn't you believe Ida sooner? Why didn't you check?" Michael demanded and Madeline looked into the room.

"Michael, Ida isn't suppose to be able to read pregnant woman. I thought Nikita went for the crib." Madeline said and Michael nodded his head and looked around.

"So are you going to tell Operations or is this something you want me to do?" Michael replied and Madeline looked around and moved closer to Michael.

"We aren't telling him." Madeline responded and Michael turned his head and then laughed smartly.

"We are going to retrieve Nikita from this madman that only Ida knows covertly?" Michael questioned and Madeline nodded her head as the doors opened and Birkoff entered.

"We might have a problem." Birkoff replied and he watched at the two sets of angry eyes glare at him. He hands Madeline the file and sighed.

"First, the only Hector associated with Dr. Ressler is Hector Hugo. He has a brother Patrick. They are both medical doctors and have been playing with cloning and genetic mutation." Birkoff said and Michael closed his eyes and looked away.

"Are they doing this to get Dr. Ressler back?" Madeline questioned and Birkoff looked around.

"I wouldn't have been able to respond to that, but…" Birkoff started and then he paused. Michael turned and whipped the young man against the wall.

"But what?" Michael screamed and Birkoff slowly swallowed.

"Operations just received a message from Hector." Birkoff replied and both Michael and Madeline closed their eyes tightly.

*

"I know that the child means something to Section One. It would be the ultimate fighting machine. The offspring of your finest." Hector said and Operations blinked his eyes and looked at Hector, showing no emotion.

"If that was so, wouldn't we have protected her? The child is going to be a hassle." Operations stated as Michael stood outside the door. Michael turned and stared at Madeline. She shook her head, trying to get Michael from acting out of pure emotions.

"Then let me speak to the father." Hector said and Operations laughed.

"Do you really think I would allow that? You must underestimate me." Operations said and Hector frown and shook his head.

"I will get Dr. Ressler back. I must." Hector said and flicked the screen off. Operations turned to face the storming operatives into his office. He stood up and looked back at them with the same anger that was on their faces.

"Why wasn't I told?" Operations hollered as Michael continued to move towards Operations until he backed up the older man against the wall.

"Why didn't we make the trade?" Michael demanded and Madeline shook her head as Ayn stood outside the room. Ayn frowned as she waited for all parties to stop their childish tactics.

"Michael, back off. She is my daughter!" Operations hollered as he tried to push the younger operative off of his body.

"You are going to have to kill me if you think I am going to sit back and let them destroy Nikita, which they have already begun to do!" Michael demanded and slowly Operations looked at Madeline, sensing that something else was going on.

"Ida has had some insights to what is going on with Nikita." Madeline stated as Birkoff walked into the room, but Ayn held him off, waiting to see where this power struggle lead too.

"Ida? She was to have no more contact with Nikita!" Operations boomed and Michael stepped back before slugging Operations.

"You don't care for her at all do you!" Michael spat out with anger and Madeline pulled Michael away as he wound his fist back to slug Operations again. Operations shook his head and turned back to his glass window.

"I should have been informed as soon as we knew Nikita was taken." Operations said and Michael turned to glare at Madeline.

"You couldn't have because Madeline here was to busy playing Susie housekeeper." Michael hissed out and suddenly there was silences. Ayn looked at Birkoff and slowly moved towards the three battle powers.

"Ida has a location." Ayn said and she watched all three heads snap towards her. Ayn looked to Birkoff and nodded her head. Birkoff stepped forward and handed the panel to Madeline.

"That's not far from here. Have you run the simms?" Madeline questioned Birkoff. Birkoff swallowed and nodded his head.

"Yes. We have good odds on any configuration, but the variable is Nikita. We don't know her condition. Ida can't give me anything about her." Birkoff said and all turned as the intercom buzzed at the desk.

"Madeline, you better get down here." The medical staff yelled and cut off, with screams being heard in the background. Michael turned to look at Madeline and then to Operations.

"If he started her on drugs to deliver that child, I will let anyone cancel me after I kill you." Michael stated and huffed out of the room, pulling Birkoff with him to work on the extraction plan.

*

There was pain, pain unlike pain that Nikita was use too. She had felt some terrible cramps when she first discovered that she was pregnant, but this time, it was different. Nikita began to cry. They felt like the child was kicking her with steel tipped boots.

"NO!!!" Nikita screamed as she struggled against the chains and shackles that held her down to the table they had spread her out on. She tried not to look at Hector, who had stormed into the room and administered the medicine.

"Shut up!" Hector screamed and Nikita found it impossible.

"She isn't going into labor! She is having problems! Serious ones!" the doctor argued back with Hector. Nikita turned as Hector slapped his older brother across the face.

"Nothing is working as planned!" Hector hissed as he backed away from both Nikita and the doctor. The doctor turned and touched Nikita's head. She curled away from his touch and he felt for her pulse.

"You are going to kill her. We were to keep her until she gave birth naturally! We weren't going to force it! You might kill both her and the child!" the doctor argued and Hector turned and stormed out of the room. Nikita moaned in pain as it attached her stomach and back.

"NO! I can't lose my child! I want to die if that happens. Kill me if the baby dies." Nikita cried out as the doctor took her pulse again. He could see the mental agony that she was going through. He looked at the medicines that Hector had administered and couldn't figure it out. She should have started labor, but it was more like she was having stomach cramps, or a terrible bout of gas.

"Nikita, Section has you on other medicines. Tell me what they are." The doctor said and Nikita shook her head and turned away from the man. She stared at the gray wall, wanting this all to end. She struggled to keep her eyes open and then finally lost the battle.

Madeline opened the door to Medlab and found four doctors surround Ida as she was in a deep seizure. Madeline looked into the room and turned her head. She did not want to see her teacher this way, but she had never seen anything of this sort before. Both Ida and Michael knew something had happened to Nikita. Madeline motioned for the nurse to come out of the room.

"She was muttering something before this seizure hit." The nurse reported and Madeline nodded her head. She watched as a doctor was pushed backward from the bed and against the wall. The doctor pulled himself off of the wall and walked back to the bed, continuing to struggle to hold Ida.

"What was it?" Madeline questioned and the nurse nodded her head and swallowed.

"Loving." The nurse replied and Madeline blinked and looked into the room. Madeline stared into the room intently for several minutes and then turned to look at the other residents that were in Medlab. Off to the corner, Elana sat next to several sets of rats. Madeline turned and walked to Elana.

"Are you prepared in case Nikita comes back in labor?" Madeline questioned and Elana raises and eyebrow and shook her head.

"It's awfully early for that child. It is small to start with." Elana said and Madeline nodded her head and looked to Elana.

"It is most likely they have tried to medically induce labor." Madeline said and Elana nodded her head and smiled as she bent down and shuffled through papers.

"Then Nikita might not be in danger." Elana said and Madeline raised her eyebrow as Elana found the sheet she was looking for and tapped it.

"Operations ordered a whole slew of tests to be done on pregnant rats that have been exposed to Loving2000. It seems as if we can't induce labor on them." Elana said and Madeline looked at Elana and then nodded her head.

"That was what Ida was talking about. Excuse me… I must brief Michael." Madeline said but before she could turn away, Elana grabbed her arm.

"They have already left." Elana said and Madeline stopped and stared at her.

"Who?" Madeline questioned and Elana smiled bravely.

"The team was Michael, Operations, and Birkoff."

*

Michael stepped out of the van and looked at the apartment building in front of him. There weren't many people on Hector's side, as most of the world viewed Dr. Ressler as being an evil man. Michael looked to the side as Operations handed Birkoff a gun and moved out of the van together.

"Michael take the right…" Operations said and Michael turned around and glared at the older man.

"If you are going to play spy, you are going to do it, my way." Michael spat out as Birkoff shut the van door lightly and stared at Michael and Operations.

"The right side is the weakness in the building." Operations said and Michael cleared his throat and pulled at the PDA and handed it to him.

"We aren't taking the entire building down. It is the basement we are interested in. Hector will soon be calling you on the fourth floor." Michael said and Operations glanced at the PDA and flicked it back at Michael.

"And all of this means?" Birkoff questions and Michael takes the gun out of Birkoff's hand. Birkoff is about to go back into the van when Michael pulls Birkoff's jacket open and slid it inside.

"We walk in the front door and go do some laundry." Michael stated as he trudged off towards the building, trying to find it hard that he allowed himself to bring the two fools along with him.

Michael opened the door and looked up and down the stairs and smiled as he entered the first floor hallway. Birkoff looked down the stairs towards the basement and looked towards Michael in a confused state of mind.

"Check to see if he has gone to connect with Section One." Michael whispered as he stopped and moved down the hallway. He could hear something like crying. He moved to the extreme right end and heard Nikita through the vent.

"He has connected with Section One." Birkoff replied and Michael nodded his head and looked up the stairs.

"You and Operations, go to room 408 and take care of him. I'll get Nikita." Michael said and Operations reached out and pressed Michael against the wall.

"You are emotionally involved. I will get Nikita." Operations stated and Michael shook his head. Michael moved in closely and stared into Operations'eyes.

"Don't you remember New York? Don't you remember how it was for Nikita to be examined by a man? Do you remember any of the reasons why Elana has been the only doctor consulted on Nikita?" Michael questioned and Operations swallowed as he watched the fierce determinism show through on Michael's face. He knew at that point, only Michael would be retrieving Nikita.

"Fine." Operations said as he motioned Birkoff up the stairs. Birkoff looked at Operations like he had just grown a second head. Michael waited as the two made their way hazardly up the stairs before descending to the basement.

It was not hard to tell in the dark which room Nikita was being held in. He looked down the hallway and slowly drew his gun. There were no surprises as he walked down the hallway. He turned and pointed the gun as he entered the room. The doctor turned and looked at Michael.

"Nikita, how are you?" Michael questioned and she turned her head and he saw the tears running down her face.

"I want Elana." Nikita begged out and Michael nodded his head as he heard the comm unit crackle. He moved to the doctor and motioned to the IV that had been established. The doctor slowly took that out as Michael waited for a report upstairs.

"Hector has been cancelled." Operations reported and Michael turned to the doctor and motioned to the chair. Michael tied him up and quickly moved to Nikita.

"I hurt, Michael." Nikita said as she groaned. Michael nodded his head and looked at the doctor angrily. Michael untied the buckles they had used to open her legs and Nikita slid to his arms.

"She shouldn't be walking!" The doctor exclaimed and Michael turned and shut the doctor between the eyes.

"She shouldn't be in a labor either." Michael hissed as he started down the hallway and found it apparent that Nikita was no going to walk out of there.

"Madeline, Ida has stabilized." Elana said as she walked to the computer that Madeline was pounding at. She shook her head in frustration and looked at Elana.

"Why do we allow the men to run things?" Madeline questioned and Elana smiled at Madeline's statement.

"See if Ayn can go talk to her. I have to get in touch with the men who took off." Madeline said and she slumped down into the chair, finding more frustration as she picked up the phone.

"Hello, Outpost Store!" Walter answered and Madeline drew in a deep breath of air.

"Walter, I need your help." Madeline said and she could almost feel the tension over the telephone lines grow. Madeline waited as she pounded on the keys of the computer.

"What's up?" Walter finally responded and Madeline went back to a blank screen.

"I have a team out that hasn't turn on van communications." Madeline replied and Walter laughed loudly.

"Walter, this isn't funny." Madeline hissed out, but the laughter continued. She did not want to worry Walter where worry wasn't needed, but he was going to have to stop laughing, or she was going to have to spill the events.

"What, was the team Michael, Operations and Birkoff?" Walter joked and Madeline tried to hold onto the phone through the shock of his statement. It was quiet for several moments and Madeline still could not respond.

"Oh my god, what happened to Nikita?" Walter responded as he took the natural assumption.

"That is what I am trying to establish." Madeline hissed and Walter nodded his head as he sat down.

"Ok. Turn the computer on." Walter said with a soft laugh and Madeline rolled her eyes.

"Walter." Madeline said tensely and Walter laughed nervously.

"You are acting like Nikita is in labor or something!" Walter commented and Madeline slammed her hand down on the desk.

"SHE MIGHT BE IF YOU DON'T GET ME CONNECTED TO THAT VAN NOW!" Madeline yelled as Ayn walked down the hallway and looked at Madeline.

"Ok. Go to the van communications screen. You can override it there." Walter explained and Madeline moved her cursor quickly around.

"And?" Madeline questioned and Walter laughed.

"See the spy glasses, click on that." Walter said and Madeline clicked and established the line. She hung up the phone and looked to Ayn.

"Ida can't speak for now." Ayn reported and Madeline picked up the headset and heard the noise she did not want.

SCREAMING.

"Ayn, get Elana ready. We might not have lucked out." Madeline said as she turned her head from the computer and the unit. She was almost scared to ask the question.

"Has Nikita's water broken?" Madeline questioned out.

*

Michael turned from Nikita in the van and looked at Operations as Madeline's questioned echoed through the van. The men did not know what to say and Nikita leaned back and moaned in further pain.

"No, Madeline." Nikita hissed out as she turned to stare at Michael. Michael moved to the cabinet and pulled out some medical supplies. He turned to Nikita and rubbed her face softly.

"What is going on? Are you on the way in?" Madeline questioned and Michael stared at Operations and Birkoff, telling them with no other words that they could do the communication with Madeline.

"We are about ten minutes out. Have Elana on standby." Operations ordered quickly. He turned to view Michael placing the blood pressure cuff around Nikita's arm.

"How is Ida?" Birkoff questioned as he tried not to watch Michael with Nikita. Nikita was in constantly pain, which didn't sound good to Birkoff's mind.

"Ida is fine. Can I have more information about Nikita?" Madeline firmly said and Birkoff looked up to Operations.

"We are almost positive one shoulder is dislocated, if not both." Operations said as he watched Michael's movements. Michael tore off the blood pressure cuff and bent down and took Nikita's face in his hands.

"Nikita, you need to calm down. You are fine. You aren't in labor." Michael said and Operations turned with the communications unit in his hands.

"Her blood pressure is high." Operations interpreted for Madeline. He looked at the world outside the window, slowly traveling by.

"Emotional. Elana found that Loving2000 has been hindering induced labor in rats." Madeline stated and Operations turned to look at Nikita and Michael.

"Nikita isn't a rat, Madeline." Operations stated firmly and Birkoff raised his eyebrow and turned away, not wanting to hear anything more about this.

"It could help her calm down." Madeline stated and Operations turned back to look away as Michael continued to stroke Nikita's face, but calming her down was not occurring as quickly as Michael had hoped it would.

"We are almost there." Operations said as he dropped the unit from his hand and moved to Michael.

"Nikita, you will hurt your baby if you continue to be upset." Operations stated and he looked as Nikita curled away from his presence and dropped his head.

"That is all that I do to it. I hurt. I hurt. I shouldn't be a mother!" Nikita cried out and Operations immediately began to step out of reach from Michael's swinging arms.

*

Walter paced in the store. He couldn't believe that Madeline just hung up and told him nothing more. This was serious business. Walter's mind was flooded with worries for Nikita. He had heard of some things that had been going on and Operations in everyone's mind has been doing more damage.

"Damn it!" Walter swore as he looked around the store, feeling helpless. He looked at the phone and didn't feel helpless any longer. He picked it up, determined in his choice.

"Hello?" Amanda, the new employee answered and Walter nodded his head as he pulled at his jacket.

"I need you to come to the store for a few hours. I have to leave." Walter said and hung up the phone. He moved to the door and waited for Amanda to arrive so he could leave.

It was right for him to go and be with Nikita.

*

A trip that was to take three hours took Walter one hour. He slammed into the hallways to find operatives he did not know running the place. It did not take Walter long to realize that the whole group must have made their way down to Medlab if Nikita was in trouble, or worse yet, if Nikita was in labor. Walter turned the corner and began to run in a feverish pitch.

Walter slammed into the Medlab area and all the operatives he was looking for turned and round and looked at him. That was, all but Nikita. Walter moved to Michael and looked at the man. He didn't look too pale and Walter looked around.

"How is Nikita?" Walter asked and Michael looked to the furthermost room back and looked at Walter.

"She isn't allowing an examination. Seems as if they really worked her over, since no one cared to call Madeline when Ida started to know." Michael said as his voice slightly raised in anger. Walter watched Birkoff turn his head and then Madeline.

"Have you tried talking to her?" Walter questioned and Madeline stepped forward. Madeline looked at Michael and then to Walter.

"He was trying… when the doctors told Nikita she could no longer wear her wedding rings. Let me just say, he is no longer a doctor here." Madeline said and Walter looked at Michael and then to Madeline. Madeline closed her eyes as Walter thought that Michael had killed the doctor.

"I had him transferred. But maybe you could calm her down." Madeline said and Walter looked down the hallway and then nodded his head.

"You all have tried?" Walter asked and Madeline looked around and saw Operations.

"All of us who might have a chance have tried. I was thinking of even trying Anna if she continues." Madeline said and Walter nodded his head and started down the hallway. Halfway down, he started to hear the combative Nikita.

Walter knew it was not a good combination. First, Nikita hated Medlab, but she was also a pregnant woman, running on hormones and fear. Walter was not shocked to see medical staff walking away injured.

"MERCY!!!" Walter said as he took his bandanna off and waved it in the air as he walked into the room. He turned and looked at Nikita's red face and swallowed, until Nikita reached her arms out for Walter.

"Shh…sugar.. It's going to be all right." Walter said as he hugged Nikita. She cried into his arms and wouldn't let him go. Walter rubbed her back and then finally pulled his body away.

"So, how is the kiddo?" Walter asked as he looked down at the stomach. Nikita smiled and rubbed it softly as she no longer screamed and cried.

"Kicking like hell." Nikita commented and Walter laughed. He saw that Nikita still had the wedding rings on, but they looked so tight on her fingers. Walter dropped his head and pulled a chain out from around his neck.

"Hey, why don't you take those off, and put them around your neck. It will be a lot easier on you." Walter said as he handed the chain over. Nikita glanced at it and then to the rings. Walter saw how Nikita did not want to do so.

"If they get too much tighter, they will have to cut them off." Walter said as he looked at the chain. It was one of Katherine's, but he wasn't'going to tell Nikita. Nikita slowly slid the rings off and kissed them. She dropped them onto the necklace and then dropped the necklace around her hot face.

"Now, are you going to let them examine you and the kiddo?" Walter asked and Nikita started to cry again and shake her head. Walter rubbed his face and walked to the door. He wasn't going to continue to make Nikita upset. He had a plan, maybe if they all would just back off of Nikita for a little bit.

*

Walter paced outside Nikita's room some 18 hours later. She had calmed down and then started to have further pains about two hours ago. Michael was currently in the room, and finally Walter moved away. He moved down the hallway and looked into the other room that Madeline had been in and out of often in the time he had been back. Walter pushed the door opened and dropped his head.

It was Ida, hooked up to a lot of machines. Walter moved towards her and looked at her. She at least wasn't combative with the medical staff, and wasn't causing more black eyes than Michael. Walter moved to the side and thought about his plan.

It had worked until about two hours ago. Nikita had calmed down enough that she allowed them to place a fetal monitor on her, but no other exam at all. Walter reached out and touched Ida's gray hair. The woman had probably fried her brain in the process of accessing Nikita's pain. She had saved the baby's life so far, and Nikita's also.

"I know Nikita would want to thank you…. If she could just get past everything." Walter said softly and he looked away and to the wall.

There was nothing found on the fetal monitor and everything said that the baby was fine. Nikita was sleeping when the current rounds of pains started and Elana ran into the room swearing. Walter just wanted to get Nikita past this current hurdle and get her some rest. He was sure that now Operations would just let Michael and Nikita wait it out with the baby in their own house. There was no need to keep sending them out on missions.

"Rest…." A voice said Walter shook his head. He looked around the room and saw no one had entered. He went back to his own thoughts and did not think anything more of the voice.

Walter actually was staring to scheme a way to hide Michael and Nikita off somewhere for the next eight weeks, if Nikita even carried to full term. He could find a cabin near the retreat, but it was going to be hard.

Maybe not the next eight weeks, but he could definitely hide them for four weeks.

"Rest…" A voice said again and Walter turned around and found Ida's eyes opened. He walked to the side of the bed and looked out for some doctors.

"Ida….. Can you hear me?" Walter asked and the woman smiled at him.

"Nikita…. Needs food." Ida said and Walter looked at Ida and then moved for doctors.

"And you need rest…. Let me worry about Nikita." Walter said as the doctors walked in, more than surprised that Ida ever opened her eyes again. Walter moved down the hallway and heard Nikita's screams.

"IT HURTS!!!!" Nikita screamed out and suddenly there was a thud.

"Nikita, you can't keep punching them." Michael hissed out and Walter moved to the door as another staff member walked out with a bloody nose. Walter looked at Nikita and then to Michael.

"Nikita, have you eaten?" Walter asked and Nikita shook her head and Michael looked at Nikita and then to Elana off in the corner.

"A rumbling acid filled stomach! Walter you are a genius! Now go get Nikita a massive amount of buttered noodles!" Elana said and Nikita licked her lips and groaned with a little bit of pain.

"WITH LOTS OF KETCHUP AND PEPPER!" Nikita called out and Walter laughed as he walked down the hallway, happy with his assignment.

*

"Nikita, it is good to see you up." Ida softly said as Nikita walked to Ida's bed. Nikita smiled and took Ida's hand.

"I have to thank you. They would have never known." Nikita whispered out and Ida laughed.

"Don't worry about what would have happened. Worry about getting plenty of rest." Ida said and Nikita smiled.

"It's more important that I get plenty to eat." Nikita stated and Ida laughed, and then stopped when she started to feel the pain start in her head again.

"Well, I hope I don't have to go through your labor with you. It would probably kill me." Ida said and Nikita nervously laughs.

"Well, if I'm out on a mission and start labor… I expect you to yell at Madeline for me." Nikita joked and Ida laughed again as the door opened up.

"Hey sugar… Ida." Walter said as he moved over to the side of the bed. He reached out and touched Nikita's cheek.

"Shouldn't you still be resting?" Walter asked and Nikita turned her head.

"Operations is sending them out." Ida responded and Nikita nodded her head to Walter.

"Doesn't that man ever stop? Does he want someone with a catcher's mitt catch his grandchild in the van access and send you on another mission?" Walter demanded until he noticed both women were laughing.

"He ordered Michael to take me out for dinner." Nikita whispered and Walter turned red and laughed himself.

"Well, I would love to stay here, and make sure that Operations doesn't manhandle you anymore, but I have my orders." Walter said and Nikita nodded her head. Walter reached out and smiled to Ida before turning to leave.

Nikita looked at Ida and smiled. She had so many questions to ask Ida, as Nikita was confused. She still had not submitted to a further examination, even when Elana said she would do it. Nikita just waited them out, and it was Ida's word that Nikita was not in danger, that they released her.

"I thought you couldn't read pregnant women?" Nikita asked and Ida shrugged her shoulders. She was at lost for the words and then she looked at Nikita.

"I also never use to go into grand mal seizures." Ida said and Nikita nodded her head. She was so afraid that Ida would have sustained permanent damage, but that didn't seem to have happened.

"Ok…." Nikita whispered and Ida grabbed Nikita's hand.

"You want to have Madeline's dinner she was making you." Ida said and Nikita raised an eyebrow.

"You see me eating something that Madeline made?" Nikita questioned with a raised eyebrow and Ida laughed.

"No. She was telling me she was making her homemade ravioli before all of this broke loose, and I've had it before. It is great." Ida said and Nikita smiled and nodded her head as she exited.

Ida knew that when Madeline said she would never see Nikita again after she was recruited that she would. Ida never expected it to be this way, and she hoped that the rest of Nikita's pregnancy would run smoothly, but Ida also saw a very bumpy road, and she wasn't sure if she would be anymore help to Nikita.
