"Millicent and Logan"

There was a soft giggle from the corner of the workout room as Nikita walked in. She smiled. It seemed like ages ago, that she would be in that corner with Michael laughing. Nikita grazed her hand against the wall and looked to the couple, as they playfully kissed and nipped at each other. The stare Nikita continued, lasted for a few moments too long as Michael walked up next o her and wrapped his hands protectively around her.

"They look happy." Michael commented as Nikita turned her head. She smiled and dropped her head. She rubbed Michael's fingers with her own, as she saw the rounding stomach, that she had to remind herself was hers.

"Especially after that first test." Nikita commented and Michael kissed the area right behind her ear and disengaged his hands from around Nikita and loudly stepped into the workout room. It brought an instant movement from the couple, as their hands dropped and tried to pull each other's clothing back in the right alignment.

Nikita's eyes connected with the mischief eyes of Millicent, or Millie, as everyone in Section One, but Operations called her. Nikita was still reliving the debriefing last night where Operations had made the mistake again, on calling her Millicent. Nikita was sure he was nursing a pretty black eye this morning.

"Good to see you two in good moods, for the fact that the mission last night never was finished." Michael said and Nikita rolled her eyes. It was just like Michael to do this to this couple. Nikita stepped in and smiled at Millicent and touched Michael.

"I thought we talked about this." Nikita whispered into Michael's ear as she dropped her hand with a soft graze against his shirt. Michael angled his body away from Millicent and Logan to look at Nikita.

"I hope you weren't lingering your fingers to get them out of trouble." Michael said as his breath tickled Nikita's ear and she could not stop the smile. Nikita now dropped her head and looked up at Michael with her beautiful blue eyes.

"We could use the extra time to work on the nursery, or other activities." Nikita said softly and then accented her point with a lick of her lips. Michael straightened up and looked at Millicent and Logan and nodded his head.

"You have a three hour session of hand combat today after lunch. Don't miss it." Michael said and turned towards Nikita and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Nikita smiled contently and walked out with Michael.

"I really don't think they need that much training. They need to get out on the field." Nikita said and Michael kissed her lips softly. He closed his eyes and took Nikita's hands.

"Is this your attempt on lowering our missions because of the baby?" Michael asked and Nikita shrugged her shoulders.

"Look at me, Michael. I am five months pregnant. We still haven't been able to make plans for dinner with Walter and Katherine, and we haven't had much time to discuss this child other than the medical aspects." Nikita said slowly and methodically.

"I don't want to send them out if they aren't ready." Michael said and Nikita smiled and flashed a half frown and half grin.

"Have we really been ready lately?" Nikita asked and this time, Michael reflected Nikita's own half frown and half grin. They started to walk slowly and Michael nodded his head in thought. Nikita wrapped her arm around his waist and leaned her head down onto Michael's shoulder.

"Doesn't really matter. Operations is sending them out tonight." Nikita said and Michael turned and gazed at Nikita. Nikita looked upward and then back down at Michael. Michael knew instantly that this little act from Nikita, wasn't because she felt they were ready. She wanted to tell herself that they were ready. Nikita was truly scared and Michael rubbed her knuckles softly and then kissed her nose.

"Why don't we go up and visit Walter tonight?" Michael asked and Nikita smiled broadly. They continued to walk towards their office and Nikita stopped as she stood in front of Birkoff.

"I love that tie!" Nikita exclaimed as she pulled up the silk tie that was hanging around Birkoff's neck. It was a different look for Birkoff, a shirt and tie. This tie though, still expressed his boyish look. It was a Mr. Potato Head tie, with noses, glasses, ears, and mouths scattered across the expensive black silk.

"A friend gave it too me." Birkoff lied as he thought of how Lori handed it to him after their latest adventure at the club. Birkoff swallowed and looked at Nikita and Michael.

"Well, I need to see if Walter wants us to visit tonight." Nikita said and Birkoff nodded his head and lifted his fingers in an ok motion. Nikita turned away and headed back to the office with Michael protectively walking next to her.

There were some missions that did not seem like missions at the beginning. It was that kind of mission that Millie had been preparing for as she looked up in the mirror. It wasn't an extremely complicated mission in her mind, it was just a mission.

She touched the soft pink dress that contrasted with her very pale skin. It would not be a color that she would have chosen herself, yet, it was a pretty dress. She touched her spiral brown curls and smiled at the picture in the mirror. How she wished to be getting ready for a date, and not a night out on the town, with a gun place uncomfortably on her body.

Logan walked into the room and smiled from afar. Millie was a beautiful creature when she allowed herself to be. Logan was attracted to the tomboy side of Millie, but it was the pure and natural beauty of Millie that took his breath away.

"Eh, my lady looks pretty tonight." Logan said as he walked closer into Millie and she turned to see Logan dressed in the tuxedo. Millie smiled brightly and laughed.

"How I wish this was a mission that you could have worn leather!" Millie cried out in half humor and half seriousness. Logan touched the side of her neck and rubbed it softly. Millie tilted her head to the side in order to allow Logan to stroke more of her neck.

"That will be later tonight." Logan said with a long smile and Millie allowed a sweet little giggle that had often sounded like a little child eating cotton candy.

"You do know that Michael and Nikita aren't inside Headquarters tonight, right?" Millie asked and Logan nodded his head as he moved his hand slowly away from her neck. He looked down and took her hand softly into his. She had even painted her fingernails and now Logan felt blessed.

"It means that they trust us." Logan said and Millie tried to nod her head with the statement, but something chewed away at her mind. A gut feeling was telling Millie that this mission was more complicated.

"Millie, we are going to do just fine." Logan said and Millie forced out a brilliant smile that Logan was familiar with and it warmed him to his core.

"But I am going to have to ask you to turn down that smile before you give me sun burn." Logan said with a small laugh rolling from his throat.

"Ok. You win." Millie said as she playfully slapped at Logan's arm and Logan moved closer to her and held her in his arms. She always felt like this before heading out on a mission. Nikita had informed both of them that Millie had a minor problem with conspiracy theories, that everyone was out to get her. Logan had agreed to it, and Millie had taken offense to it. Logan was sure that if Nikita weren't pregnant, that Millie would have decked Nikita.

"Promise me one thing." Logan said as he lifted a long finger up in the air in front of Millie's face. She smiled and slowly nodded her head, although her eyes showed the wariness of her motion.

"If Operations calls you Millicent tonight in the debrief, that you won't deck him." Logan said dead seriously and Millie laughed out hard.

"That would be going against my true character, why would I do that?" Millie said as she picked up her matching purse and headed towards the door. Logan watched the woman he admired walk out the door. He still didn't know how Millie got away with the abuse of Operations. Nikita didn't seem to mind Millie decking Operations, but Michael had expressed his concern several times.

"Millie, you are bad news, you know that?" Logan called out and Millie turned her head over her shoulder and flashed that brilliant smile. She winked an eyelid down over her sparkling hazel eyes and continued down the hallway.

"Nikita, I can't get over your stomach. It inflated overnight!" Walter said as he walked out on the doorstep to look at Nikita as she slipped out of the car. She bounded up the stairs and hugged Walter tightly. Michael looked over the hood of the car as Nikita pulled away from Walter to allow Walter to touch the stomach.

"She will still get bigger." Michael said as he slammed the door shut and walked around the car to join his wife and friend on the stairs. Walter laughed loudly.

"Madeline has already started to complain about the mission pants. I told her to stop sending me out on missions." Nikita said with a laugh and a smile.

"Not an option." Both Walter and Michael laughed out and Walter playfully nudged Michael's shoulder.

"Come on in, sugar." Walter said as he opened the door to the store and Michael stood outside the door and Walter winked at Michael.

"Maybe we can get a freak snowstorm and get stuck up here for a few days, get her some rest?" Walter asked and Michael smiled politely and nodded his head as he stepped underneath Walter's arm and entered the store.

Nikita had walked to the living quarters area and stopped and looked back at Walter. There was a look of apprehension on Nikita's face, which Walter understood as he crossed his way to Nikita and placed an arm around his dear friend's shoulder.

"She is just sleeping." Walter said as he helped guide Nikita into the living area. Nikita nodded her head as Walter directed Nikita to a couch and she smiled. Michael and Walter were so protective of her and the baby, that at times, she felt overprotected. Yet, Nikita sat down and smiled, knowing that Walter had enough to worry about without worrying about her.

"Can I get you something to drink? Juice? Water? Tea?" Walter asked as Michael sat down next to Nikita. Walter watched the slight movement as he picked up Nikita's hand and rubbed it gently. Both Nikita and Michael shook their heads no, and then looked at each other.

"You both are thinking about Katherine." Walter said softly as he moved to the chair that faced the couch. He ran his hand down across the arms of the green chair as he sat down and looked at Michael and Nikita.

"It won't be long." Walter said with a cracking voice as a footstep was heard from a couple rooms over.

"Do I hear a French accent?" Katherine called out and Nikita stood up with a smile. She touched Walter's shoulder as she walked to the doorway to great Katherine. Nikita choked back her horror of the woman's drawn and bruised face, as she hugged her tightly.

"I would say that you have grown!" Katherine joked after Nikita unwrapped her arms from Katherine's neck. Katherine looked at the stomach and smiled broadly at Nikita. Katherine had heard more about Nikita's baby from Walter, than any other topic was spoken about.

"Does it have a father?" Katherine asked with a teasing wink to Nikita. Michael stood up and walked over behind Nikita. Katherine smiled broadly.

"Michael, I care that you are looking after your family." Katherine said as she reached out to the wall for support. Immediately, Walter jumped up and walked to Katherine.

"Dinner is almost ready, why don't we go to the table." Walter said, putting on a cover for Katherine, but both Michael and Nikita look to each other in concern.

"That would be great. I am famished!" Nikita exclaimed with a forced happy voice that Walter smiled at briefly as he helped Katherine into her chair.

"Not much for me, Walter. Nikita needs food." Katherine said as Walter headed to the kitchen, and Michael moved his chair closer to Nikita. Walter nodded his head and moved to the kitchen quickly.

Millie walked down the hallway to collect her communications unit and stopped at Operations headed towards her. He smiled at her and looked her attire over.

"There is a change in the profile." Operations said which brought all of Millie's movement to a halt.

"Does Michael and Nikita know?" Millie asked and Operations smiled and folded his hands in front of him.

"No. Is that a problem, Millicent?" Operations asked as he had the upper hand. Millie bit down on the inside of her mouth and looked at the sinister man. Millie didn't know how he could be Nikita's father.

"No." Millie responded and Operations quickly left the area as Logan walked over. Millie watched Operations moved down the hallway as Logan placed a hand on her bare shoulder.

"I got the changed profile." Logan said as he lifted his hand with the panel. Millie looked down at it and shook her head.

"It exposes me." Millie said softly and Logan nodded his head. He was frightened by the developments, because whenever he saw mission profiles like this one, the exposed operative never came home. Logan pulled the shaken, but still not crying, Millie to his body.

"I won't let anything happen to you." Logan said and Millie shook her head with a fierce look of determination.

"Nikita and Michael don't know. I am willing to bet that Madeline doesn't know either." Millie said and Logan pulled back from Millie and stared at her. The implications she was allowing out were staggering. Although, it had flashed through Logan's mind.

"I don't know what to do." Logan said carefully and Millie nodded her head and looked around.

"He wants rid of me, but isn't that dangerous for Michael and Nikita. Especially, Nikita." Millie said as her eye stopped twinkling and she appeared closer to tears than Logan had ever seen her.

"She is five months pregnant. She can't be on the field till she gives birth." Logan said as neither of them notice Birkoff has he walks up to them. He frowns as he hears the comment and touches Logan's shoulder.

"Well, the betting pool around here gives 58 to 1 odds that Nikita will give birth on a mission." Birkoff said and Logan looked at Millie. Birkoff was about to turn back away, when Logan turned to look at Birkoff.

"Can you get us in touch with Michael and Nikita?" Logan said and Birkoff slowly nodded his head to the inexperienced couple. Birkoff had seen the new mission profile, and was about to call Michael and Nikita himself. Birkoff was sure that this profile was planned for one thing, to rid Operations the person he called Millicent.

"Walk with me. We need a secure area, but realize that the mission will go live before Michael and Nikita can get back." Birkoff said and Millie swallowed hard and looked at Birkoff.

"Do you think this is all about me punching him?" Millie asked and Birkoff smiled at her.

"I never found anything wrong with the name Millicent. It is a pretty name." Birkoff said and hurried up to his computer to start the scrambling procedure to get Michael and Nikita informed of the mission profile. Birkoff stopped for a second and thought about Nikita. She didn't get any slack for being Operations'child and if anything that was Nikita's weakness.

Nikita pushed her chair back from the table, and folded her napkin up onto the plate. Michael looked at Nikita, as she had left most of her meal on the plate.

"Walter, that was wonderful!" Nikita said with a huge smile as she looked around the room. Michael looked at Walter and rolled his eyes.

"The bathroom is off to the right-hand side of the kitchen." Katherine spoke up, for the first time during the entire meal. Nikita smiled and nodded her head. She didn't want to make big fuzz around Michael and Walter. They worried too much about her.

The cell phone started to ring as Nikita exited the room and Michael frowned. He set the fork down softly on the plate and reached for the phone. He nodded his head and stood up. That wasn't the only communication going on, as Walter looked at Katherine. She silently nodded her head to Walter, and he stood up to follow Michael into the store.

"There was nothing wrong with that profile." Michael said and Walter stopped at the doorway as he heard the toilet flush. Walter turned, and did not see Nikita yet.

"Logan, start the mission, but find an anomaly." Michael ordered and Walter raised his eyebrows at Michael. Michael turned away from Walter and the gesture told Walter that Nikita and Michael would be exiting soon.

"Slow down the speed of the profile. We will find a way to help." Michael said and folded the cell phone up as Nikita touched Walter's shoulder. Walter jumped and looked at Nikita with a frown on his face that matched Michael's has he turned back around.

"What is it?" Nikita asked and Michael moved close to Nikita and stroked her cheek. Nikita raised an eyebrow at Michael and then shook her head.

"Don't shut me out, Michael." Nikita said in a warning tone and Michael looked to Walter.

"Do you have anything that we might wear." Michael said and Walter grinned broadly.

"That and stuff to supply you with." Walter said as he moved back into the dinning room, briefly kissed Katherine before opening up a closet filled with non-Section supplies.

Michael and Nikita had stayed in the store, as Michael hugged Nikita. She felt his heart raising and swallowed. It did not take Nikita long to figure out the conversation.

"Operations is trying to rid himself of Millie." Nikita commented as she wrapped her hand around Michael's waist. She felt the miniscule jump of Michael's back muscles and knew it was true.

"Yes. He changed the profile and exposed Millie." Michael said, not wanting to upset Nikita. He had found some of the stress Nikita had been feeling lifted away with the new couple working out so well in the missions. Nikita had been able to sleep several hours in a row, without unexpected calls from Birkoff waking her, or worse yet, the nightmares of giving birth during a mission.

"We make our presence known, will Operations abort?" Nikita questioned softly as she stepped back from Michael. Michael looked at her and shook his head no. Nikita smiled. She knew that answer.

"We finish the mission." Nikita stubbornly said and Michael took her hand and raised it to his mouth. Softly he kissed it and Nikita nodded her head as she turned to find Walter walking over with some pants.

"I hope these fit, sugar." Walter said as he looked to Nikita's stomach. Nikita smiles and laughed briefly.

"I'm not that big. I am still small." Nikita said and Walter handed the supplies over to the two operatives and frowned. He was upset at this move. Someday someone was going to hurt Operations for the things he did Nikita. Walter looked at Michael, and was sure that Michael was first in line.

Millie laughed as three mid-eastern men circled around her. She smiled and laughed at their jokes as she surveyed the room again. She saw the target, but kept that information to herself, as Logan shook his head from the buffet table.

"She was an intern!!!" the man to Millie's right howled out and she politely laughed at the joke and then excused herself from the three men. They continued to tell the jokes, and she wrapped her hand into Logan's as he handed her a flute of champagne.

"Have we have communication from Michael and Nikita?" Millie whispered and Logan shook his head no slightly as he leaned down and kissed the side of her neck. He did not like missions like this, were men got to look at his Millie's body. He wanted to throw a robe over her body and hold her for himself.

"They won't have units." Logan informed and Millie rolled her eyes slightly and smiled at Logan. He realized his mistake and nodded his head. He did not need to remind Millie that Michael and Nikita were probably going to break every rule in the Section rulebook in order to get them out of this fine mess.

"Maybe I should stay away from you. In case they don't show." Millie said as she stepped back and Logan stared at her. He took his hands and placed them on her shoulders.

"Then we both go down." Logan said firmly and Millie blinked her eyes as she watched the target cross the room. Millie shook her head and lightly kissed Logan on the cheek.

"No. I have to live with the consequences of punching Operations by myself." Millie said as she crossed the banquet hall towards the target. Logan stared and turned on his communications unit.

"Access to target." Logan informed the entire team. He looked to the doorway and looked at an operative dressed as a waiter. He didn't even given Logan a look, as he watched Millie cross the banquet hall, wrapped around the target.

"Birkoff… ten o'clock. Is that person on the guest list?" Logan asked as he scanned the room, hoping that he found something to stop this mission, now. Millie was now running her hands up the target's head as she leaned in for a kiss.

"I need a better picture." Birkoff said back to Logan. He set down his glass and made his way through the crowd quickly. Logan stood not far from the man in question and he glanced to the window were he saw the red light flicker.

"Logan, stay near him. He has been wanted by Section for a while." Birkoff ordered as the shooting from the large window scatter across the hall. Millie turns to Logan with fear but Logan smiles and nods his head.

"Logan, what is going on?" Birkoff called out, but Logan pulled the communications unit off and pulled the man near him at gunpoint.

"Logan, to the van." Michael screamed out as Nikita dashed up the stairs to the left. Logan stared at the movement. Some operative would die to move like Nikita at any time. It was hard to remember that she was five months pregnant.

"What about Millie? She has maintained position." Logan asked and Michael looked to the man Logan had in his hand and smiled. Operations would be happy about the detention of this extra man.

"Go." Michael ordered as he moved through the banquet hall. The undercover operative stopped as they saw Michael's firm body stride across the room to Millie.

"Admiral, will you kindly go with the lady?" Michael firmly asked as he handed Millie an extra gun. She smiled and started out of the banquet room quickly.

"Michael…. What kind of f&!king computer system do they have here?" Nikita screamed through their personal communication units. Michael looked around and walked to the closest operative and took the communications unit and with a flash, the operative retreated to the exit point.

"Birkoff…." Michael said as he headed up the stairs quickly. Time was the essence.

*

"Michael!" Birkoff exclaimed through the unit as he looked over his head. Immediately Operations rushed out of the room. Birkoff swallowed and looked to the computer screen.

"Nikita is having difficulty with the computer." Michael reported as he took the stairs to the floor above three at a time. Birkoff's eyebrow raised lightly, as he had faith in Nikita's computer skills. She had fun learning the ins and outs of crashing a system.

Nikita turned her head with the gun aimed on the doorway as Michael entered. The blue screen of the monitor illuminated Nikita's face.

"It keeps on shocking me, Michael." Nikita said as she tired to push the exit button, only to have the spark fly up from the computer keyboard. Michael looked down and frowned.

"Birkoff?" Michael asked as he tried to touch the keyboard, only to have the same activity happen to him.

"Birkoff?" Operations roared from behind him, and Birkoff felt his tie get tighter around his neck as he loosened it. He concentrated on Nikita's and Michael's problem.

"Explosives planted. Starting sequence." Another operative piped in from the basement of the building. Birkoff felt the sweat slip over his eyebrow as he worked quickly but couldn't come up with reasoning.

"Jones and Gallagher, upstairs to the computer." Birkoff commanded quickly as he forgot the heavy breathing behind him was Operations.

"Turn the computer off, take it apart and bring it in." Birkoff said quickly as he typed.

"We can't carry…" Michael started to protest when he heard the footsteps in the hallway. Michael and Nikita both aimed their guns and saw the fellow operatives walk in. Birkoff smiled as he pushed back from the computer terminal, only to be stopped by Operations as he loomed above the small man.

"Ah, sir." Birkoff said with a long pause and a forced smile.

"Michael and Nikita?" Operations asked and Birkoff nodded his head.

"Good thing too. The computer has new technology we haven't seen before, and Logan was able to apprehend Vanchez." Birkoff said and Operations tilted his head to the side and studied Birkoff.

"This wasn't the type of activity that Vanchez would participate in. Is there a reason why he was there?" Operations barked and Birkoff shook his head from side to side, trying to look innocent.

"Then we lucked out. Did we lose any operatives?" Operations asked as the building implodes. Birkoff looked at the screen and then to Operations.

"No, sir." Birkoff said and Operations pushed his hands into his black pants pockets and quickly left, no doubt to consult Madeline. Birkoff took a long breath as he rubbed his hands across his face. As long as Operations couldn't find the proof that Birkoff sent Vanchez the invitation, Birkoff would be fine. He would look like a computer genius doing what was best for the mission. Birkoff was sure that Michael and Nikita could handle themselves at Operations'tirade that was sure to occur.

"Birkoff… heading home." The driver reported and Birkoff nodded his head as he turned off the active screen and could really breath now. Birkoff stood up and looked around. He needed some oreos

Operations stood in front of the van access door for twenty minutes, waiting. He did not move his attention from the handle, as he knew who would be returning. His eyes glared, and when the handle finally turned, the person who had done so, was not whom he expected.

"Everyone go home. Michael, I will be late." Nikita said firmly as she pushed the door open, staring at Operations with her brilliant blue eyes. Michael, who was still five feet behind Nikita ushered Millicent and Logan down into the hallway, passing Operations in the tension filled hallway.

"No. We will debrief." Operations said firmly as the computer was carried out of the van, then followed by the two captives. Nikita waited and then slammed the van access door loudly.

"No. I will debrief." Nikita corrected as she moved closer to Operations. She watched his veins in his head throb with the anger that she knew would exist, but she did not back down. She could not. This needed to be done.

"Nikita." Operations hissed and Nikita lifted her head stubbornly to look into his eyes with the disgust that she felt.

"Where do you want your grandchild born?" Nikita pronounced firmly in the hallway and Operations shook his head, not wanting to discuss this.

"Not here, Nikita. We won't do this in this hallway." Operations said back with fire in his voice. Nikita did not move and did not flinch.

"Yes, we will. I will not have this child in the field. Tonight, if Millie was exposed and cancelled, that is where this child would be born." Nikita said as she moved her body closer to Operations.

"She has usurped my power time after time." Operations hollered and Nikita smiled briefly and then looked at Operations with a smile that he had seen many times on Madeline's face.

"Maybe that was the point. The strong point of their partnership, that you haven't realized." Nikita commented as the footsteps behind Nikita started to echo.

Madeline.

"She has punched me." Operations blasted firmly as he held Nikita's attention. She moved closer.

"Maybe she is doing what I can't." Nikita commented as the cold hand of Madeline's pushed against Nikita's shoulder. Nikita did not move and did not remove her gaze off of Operations. Although he had cared for Nikita when she was first pregnant, the tension between the two had only grew.

"Enough, Nikita." Madeline said and Nikita shook her head.

"We all know, that this is never over. I have watched you in the past two weeks, care for Trevor and Anna. What makes me different? Millie's and Logan's scores are the highest that we have seen in couples Section wide. It is your thick skull that is creating the problem." Nikita said as she pulled away from Madeline's hand and shook her head.

"Nikita, get changed. There is a briefing." Madeline said and Nikita shook her head and then smiled.

"Thou shall honor thy mother and father." Nikita hissed out slowly and watched the pain across his face. Nikita looked at Madeline and frowned.

"I was able to walk out on my mother when she abused me to the point of no return, I can't walk out on him. Don't let him kill me and my baby." Nikita said and moved silently down the hallway. Madeline tilted her head and looked at Operations as he dropped his head and looked at her.

Madeline slapped him.
