A gentle soul whose thoughts reveal
      a contemplative mind,
      she writes no prose, but gives us all
      words of a different kind.

      For authors scheming long and hard
      to entertain the board,
      with plots and mush and scary stuff,
      she gives a great reward.

      She’s underneath the waterfall
      where little bunnies play.
      (Lorraine would make them slippers,
      if she could have her way.)

      And in her quiet refuge there,
      she reads and thinks things through.
      She sees the truth and meaning,
      in each writer’s separate view.

      And then, she writes enchanted words - 
      poems without rhyme; 
      and gifts us with her spirit
      in a boon of words sublime.
