"The Writer"



      This is part 2 of my alliterative poem, READING. It's called:

      Putting their perplexing pieces together,
      Planning their plots to give me a ride,
      Creating characters, causing confusion,
      Writers have many angles they've tried.

      Twisting their tales for tragic reactions,
      Making me squirm and shudder for sure,
      Presenting pictures of posturing pundits,
      Making mere mortals follow their lure.

      Riding the riptide of rhapsodic rhythms
      Trancending terrors and turmoil to see
      Romantic Romeos wooing their loved ones,
      Or jilted Juliets all tempting me.

      Writing and writers rule me with reason,
      Words of wisdom, warnings and strife.
      Feeding my frenzy for fantastic ventures,
      Writers continue to enrich my life.
