      I try to fight the loneliness
      Here inside my room.
      I long for true companionship
      To overcome the gloom.

      No one knows the emptiness,
      Just how I feel inside.
      I wouldn't show the world
      For I have too much pride.

      If only there was give and take,
      Commonality to share,
      Some awareness of my needs,
      Some signal that you're there.

      I'm tired of making reasons up
      For why you act this way.
      I'm tired of always having
      To wait another day.

      "Be patient", you said one day
      In answer to my plea,
      But how much longer must I?
      It seems an eternity!

      I long to have you hold me,
      To put your lips to mine,
      To touch and say you love me,
      To live our love divine.

      Our life's on a precipice
      Unnatural and unreal,
      Death's our constant comrade.
      We're on a ferris wheel!

      No matter what..I love you!
      There's no denial there.
      I'll stand and fight beside you.
      That's one thing we CAN share!
