If I gave a party and no one came,
Would it still be a party just the same?
If I cried outside in the pouring rain,
Would all my tears be shed in vain?
If I see my love within a dream,
Is it really love or fantasy's scheme?
The quandries of life mystify me
With all the unanswered questions I see.
How can two people grow to care
About each other if they can't share
The little things that we all know
Helps a true relationship grow?
A gentle touch, a passing smile
A quiet day to spend a while
Together, or a loving kiss,
Love is made up of things like this.
Is it really love that these two share
When those small things aren't really there,
When they can't kiss or touch their hands,
When section has some other plans?
Surprisingly, I must agree
That when the answer comes to me,
I see that there IS something there
That keeps them both from dark dispair!
The spark of love unites those two.
It doesn't matter just how few
Demonstrations of emotions show.
They both unerringly seem to know.
So...I have my answers to all those questions.
There are no blueprints for our life's lessons.
We do the best with what we've got,
Even when there's not a lot!
