Reeling from Simone's death, Michael's self-destructive behavior worries both Operations and Madeline. In an effort to protect him, and to keep the Vachek mission on track they cut back his missions. Michael begins to live his life split between the 'happy' mission husband and soon to be father, and cold Section operative. His dual life continues to take a toll, and Madeline sets out to find a recruit to provide a Section distraction for Michael. (Reviewed by Lorelei)

As luck would have it, the symphony's Christmas performance finds Michael and Nikita able to sit together. With a little creativity, Nikita manages to discourage 'Little Precious' from engaging in any bad behavior. But Michael is called in during the second half of the performance, and she when she gets home. The mission goes sour, and Nikita finds herself stuck on a window ledge, freezing.
