The plan is to eliminate them one by one - exploiting known weaknesses in order to take them out of play. What price will Operations pay having to revisit his past and re-open these old wounds? His formulas are winding up in the hands of Red Cell, and they're to find out how Redmond transmits the information.
The semester passes slowly and with little progress. Living in confined quarters is driving both Michael and Nikita crazy, and Michael seems to be developing an unusual interest in the backs of Nikita's knees. In spite of their suburban ennui, they do manage to discover a few things about each other along the way. There, they are found by Catherine who knows what happened and where the team is being held by a man named Shalatnikov. The plan is to have a Section team handle the situation, but Shalatnikov moves up his schedule. Left with no alternative Michael, Catherine and Birkoff have to handle the mission themselves.
