Monthly gripe session about the state of Section between Walter, Birkoff and Nikita take a decidedly different turn when Michael joins. Being a man of action, Section's Top Op has a plan to effect a change in leadership which requires they have three items - the Directory, the Gemstone file and the Key file. Michael is already in possession of two of the three; they need Walter and Birkoff to obtain the Key file. But when they go looking for it, Birkoff and Walter find that Operations and Madeline have moved the file out of Section. With the clock ticking, Michael turns to an old friend from when he first came to One. Lorie, however, has ties to both George at Oversight, and Omega at the Agency. The Committee called into question the effectiveness of Center, and in particular the Sections. They gave Center's head, Adrian, three years in which to improve, else the organization would be significantly scaled back. As a result, Mr. Jones appeared on the barge in Lyons to recruit Nikita as an informant inside Section.
Although able to make improvements to the organization, including the events in FLYF, the Committee is still not convinced. Madeline, Nikita, and Michael continue to work the al-Qu'iad mission, which is Adrian's trump card to prove the effectiveness and necessity of Center and the Sections. How was it that these four came together, and will they be able to convince the Committee that the organization is valuable? (Reviewed by Lorelei)
