UPDATED JUNE 30, 2006 Thanks to Josephine_One & Roxanne for this information on SEASON 5 Warner Bros has issued a press release for the fifth, and final, season of La Femme Nikita.
We also have an exclusive look at the season 5 artwork: La Femme Nikita: The Complete Fifth Season DVD is priced at $39.98 SRP and has an order due date of September 12, 2006. "The successful action franchise La Femme Nikita concludes with the DVD release of its fifth and final season," says Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV Marketing. "We believe that this DVD release has an immense appeal to fans of action series as it was produced and written by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, the creators of the highly popular TV show 24. Based on the characters created for Luc Besson's film of the same name, La Femme Nikita was rated as the number-one drama for adults on USA network during its five year run. From acclaimed producers/writers Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran (currently working on TV's hit action drama 24), the sleek, chic and powerful adventures of the agent codenamed Josephine conclude in this fifth and final season of the intrigued-filled series La Femme Nikita that stars Peta Wilson (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) in the provocative title role.

There is an update available at: TVShowsOnDVD.com regarding LFN Season 4 with a release date and some box art.
January 10, 2006 Hello warriors - Today we received a call from a representative at Warners Home Video and were told that the release of LFN Season 4 DVDs has been delayed until the third quarter of 2006, which is July, August and September. This, of course, means that Season 5 will also be delayed. We were told that a three month delay had been anticipated between the release of Season 4 and Season 5, and with the new schedule, Season 5 may still possibly be released very late in 2006 if time allows. Otherwise, we can expect Season 5 in early 2007. This is disappointing news, but we are encouraged that LFN is still on the active DVD release schedule. Perhaps you have been following recent news stories of the industry's overall disappointment in DVD sales this past year and of the layoffs and reorganization in this particular division of Warners. All of this has been a concern to us, so it was a relief to know that WHV is still interested in LFN and sufficiently that they will keep us advised of the status of the DVDs as it changes. We have no reason to believe that the DVDs will not be produced and neither did the representative to whom we spoke. If we learn more, we will let you know. Sincerely, FIRST TEAM
First Team Hello! We have just today spoken on the phone with the Warners Home Video representative who is assigned to the LFN account, and she has advised us that Season 4 DVDs are currently scheduled for release in early 2006. (Season 4 has not been expedited for an earlier release, but this may be a possibility.) She also confirmed that WHV intends to release the entire series, including the short Season 5, which will, of course, sell for a considerably lower retail price. This answers questions that many of us have been asking. So, dear warriors, we have more to look forward to in the coming year. Thank you so much for your continued support and participation in the board. Sincerely, FIRST TEAM

La Femme Nikita - Warner wastes no time sending Nikita on another mission -

"You're one of us now," Nikita is told. But has she truly abandoned her compassionate nature and become an unquestioning member of the soulless covert organization called Section One? Or has she mastered the group's knack for deceit and cover-up so efficiently that she can beat Section at its own game? The sleek, chic and powerful adventures of the agent codenamed Josephine continue in Season Three of the intrigue-filled five-year series that stars Peta Wilson in the title role. Season three is marked by the unveiling of Michael's secret life, Nikita and Michael's romantic relationship and the further suspicion about the true nature of Section One. Exactly one day after the release of the long-delayed season 2 comes the announcement that Warner Bros will release La Femme Nikita: Season 3 on June 28! The set will feature standard specs for the series; full frame (1.33:1) video, English stereo sound, and English, French and Spanish subtitles. Warner Bros lists special features for every disc, however they don't specify what they may be. "Cancelled Scenes" and at least one commentary track would be a good guess, but we should have specifics later on. This 6 disc (978 min) set will carry a suggested retail price of $99.98. We'll post more once we snag a list of the extras.

Source: TVShowsOnDVD.com ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ http://pub14.ezboard.com/fsavelfn69411thesavelfnhaven.showMessage?topicID=4444.topic It was brought out at The Haven that only the successful sales of the first season of LFN on DVD will determine whether there will be a season two, three, four, etc., on DVD. So - don't send cards or letters to WB requesting S2, because they won't be listening. All they'll acknowledge will be the dollar signs. Our mission is to make sure that S1 of LFN on DVD sells like hotcakes, so spread the word! ;)
Product Features: Special Features: 6-Disc Set: Audio commentary by series co-creator Joel Surnow; Deleted scenes; Behind-the-scenes; Photo gallery. Here are some details: The DVD can be preordered from DVDPlanet.com for $69.99 DVDEmpire.com has the first season set available for preorder. The price is $79.98 ($10 more than DVDPlanet)
DVD Special Features
Disc 1
Disc 2
Disc 3
Disc 6 For those who have to ask (and I was one of you!) an "Easter Egg" is a special treat, not listed on the DVD. Here's a very good explanation from emcat8 at The Haven: "An easter egg is a hidden feature inside the disc -- you can usually find them by looking for clues in the menus. You might notice an element on the menu that seems strangely pronounced, and if you click on that element (or word, whatever), you'll go to a hidden feature on the disc. There are numerous sites that list easter eggs for most of the major dvds out there. "My favorite easter egg is in Buckaroo Banzai -- there's a watermelon easter egg that has a watermelon graphic inside it, which takes you to an entirely different easter egg about the watermelon jokes. Very clever. And Terminator 2 has an easter egg that's an entire different version of the movie -- the director's cut with the alternate ending intact. You have to access it by using the date of the nuclear blast that's mentioned in the movie." So - now we have a better idea of what to expect. I'm on my way to DVDPlanet to pre-order a couple of boxed sets. Anyone wanna come along? ;-)
