How to Submit Your Story to the Archives

Greetings,

I like to think it is relatively easy to archive stories at www.thesplitpersonality.net. After you have posted your entire story to one of the LFN Story Boards, you can then submit your story to me for archiving.

There are few steps necessary:

1) Providing me with permission to archive your work. Your initial inquiry and compliance is considered this step => You only need to provide permission once, after that, it is assumed and until you ask me to remove your stories, they will continue to stay online as long as the site remains up.=>

2) You decide, what, if any, e-mail address you would like linked to your pages -- this decision need only be made once, however, I do ask that you keep me informed if you change your e-mail address =>

3) You send me your stories in unwrapped TEXT format with a blank line between paragraphs and 12 asterisks separating chapters. Always wait until you have posted your completed story on one of the many LFN Story Boards before you send it to me, that way your readers have a chance to see the whole thing through =>

4) Also, since the reorg of the site, if you could provide a rating (such as NC-17, R, PG-13, etc) for your stories, a category if it seems to fall within one specifically (Such as Alternate Universe, Birkoff, Crossover, Episodic, Holiday, Humor, NC-17, Others, Section Skewed, Serials and Arcs, TR or Walter) this would be very helpful to me. A quick synposis of your story would also be helpful for the summary section. =>

After that, I will archive them as soon as I am able. I will always attempt to have them archive within the month they are sent, however, it may be possible that your story appears in the next month's update.

Of further note, due to the rash of plagiarism that has attacked the LFN fanfiction world, it should be noted that any story that comes under dispute will be defaulted to the existing or the longest-with-the-site author at my sole discretion.

I hope this answers any questions you might have. If not, or if you have any other comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at ranma@cox.net
